The young genius had grown up hearing stories of the great Johann Schmidt, the red skull, the founder of their organization. Meeting him had been her dream since she was just a small child building complex weaponry for an evil organization. Of course, she had never believed that Hydra was evil, she understood that Hydra was inevitable. It was about what was best for the world.
Hearing the thickly accented voice that did not belong to Doctor Zola, she perked up, jumping off her seat and running to the door. The young teen wasn’t much to look at. She could have been attractive had more care been put into her appearance, but she hadn’t yet ‘blossomed’ as a woman yet, so her limbs retained their gangly, awkward look. In fact the only real way to tell that the child he was facing was female was the tangle of thick dark curls sprouting from her head.
“It’s you!” She declared, covering her mouth in awe. Holding one hand out for a handshake, she did her best to compose herself, tempering her absolute delight. “It’s a pleasure to meet you, sir. Natasha Strucker, weapons development and hopefully more in the future.” She had been given a new surname to disguise her origin, the girl herself had no idea that her parents were alive, for now…
He stepped back, not expecting such energy and excitement. People usually had the opposite when meeting him, they were filled with fear and dread. He was curious as to what they had told this girl about him. Had they told her the truth, or had they made up stories to make him sound nicer than he really was?
Either way, he supposed it was good to have a lackey that was loyal, even if she was just a child still. They could just continue to feed her the stories as she grew up...with her progress so far she had potential to be a very good agent for them. He regained his composure, he was the red skull, the leader of hydra. He had to stand with his head high.
He contemplated giving her a hand shake, before finally reaching out and giving a very quick and firm shake, his hands moving to behind his back. “Yes...I have read the files on you, Natasha.” He said, playing along with the name. The files had mentioned that as well. “It seems you are very talented....I suspect you will be a very useful asset to hydra.”
