My hc(?) abt maroyce

I used a translator for the text below — hope it makes sense.

Made it just in time for the 8th deadline to post my hc 😋 There are some bugs here and there, but I can't be bothered to fix them now 😭

Background: They were good friends in elementary school, but after graduating, they ended up going to different schools and barely saw each other during that time.

Top left: In high school, Martin (who I imagine went to some fancy private school, since his parents are really wealthy) happened to run into Royce, who was working at a fast-food joint (he's really poor) — the pay was low and the work was exhausting.

Top right: Martin asked Royce if he'd be willing to tutor him and offered decent pay. But Martin didn't actually need good grades — his parents were going to send him to a music academy after graduation anyway. He just wanted to help Royce out. Back then, he hadn't realized his own feelings yet.

Bottom: In reality, Royce's grades were only above average, and Martin's school curriculum was more advanced — so Royce couldn't even understand most of the questions himself. He was thinking, "I'm screwed. I finally landed a well-paid, easy gig, and if Martin finds out I can't even do this, I'm done for." Meanwhile, Martin was just staring at Royce the whole time — clearly not focused on studying at all.
