so the sappy post of the day goes as follows:

Dan is literally a cultural icon. People know who he is, what he has done; they know. And he managed to build on this existing reputation beautifully, directing people towards mental health resources, lgbt resources, spilling so much of himself into his work that it touched the life of millions of people.

He's changed for the better in so many ways. He's grown, he's matured, and with every photo that gets released you can see it clear as day. He's got stubble, and longer hair, and he's beautiful and elegant and fashionable while also still being distinctly OUR Dan. He's a gay man with plenty of things happening for him going forward and plenty of exciting projects in the works, and they're all... fuck, they're impressive. They make me proud.

He's got such a good heart. He (awkwardly) offers money to strangers that are kind to him, he wants to help people with their mental health, he wants to be someone who uses their influence carefully.

He's brave! He came out, he talked about mental health, he wrote a book about it! He put a lot of his personal life out there (the tip of the iceberg really, but even that must be frightening) knowing that his personal experience will help people. And fuck, did it help people.

All this to say-Dan has made my life better. Watching him go on and do all these amazing things makes my heart fucking GLOW. He deserves the world and I hope he gets it.
