You know, re-reading that got me thinking again about the other thing that really got me about Satya’s comic. It’s just a thing about Vishkar, but it’s what really stuck with me and made me hate their damn guts. It’s this:
The only time in the whole thing that they show Satya their true colors.
For context, this is after they had her break into the slumlord of the area they want to control (Calado) instead’s building to try and find information that could destroy her. There were guards inside, but Satya refused to kill them.
Ostensibly, the reason they blew up the whole building was this: There wasn’t any information that could ruin Calado, so they needed to destroy her in another way.
But throughout the entire comic, Vishkar (and Sanjay) take great pains to convince Satya that they are in the right here, that they are helping the people there (they actually want to hurt them, of course). Satya was taken by Vishkar when she was very young. She was raised and schooled by them, and kept as isolated as they could possibly manage. Satya is a genius, and they want to control that skill, but they knew that she would never cooperate if she knew their true intentions. Every step they took in the comic, things were always kept from Satya, or twisted, or she was outright lied to. Every Vishkar member she spoke to was assuring her they were doing the right thing, that she was saving people. That it was just that people didn’t understand yet, so she had to keep working and saving them. This careful illusion to control her is always shown to be the utmost priority to them. Except there.
It would have been beyond easy for them to whisk her away before doing the dirty work and killing all those people she just saved. And not doing so actually went against the extremely careful lengths they’ve gone to to keep her in the dark, especially since the falling building caused all that damage to the people and buildings below!
And that’s just it.
Making sure Satya thinks they’re doing the right thing isn’t the most important thing to Vishkar. The most important thing is actually making sure that she feels like she can’t ever disobey, no matter what she thinks of them. Even above trying to get her willing cooperation, they want her to feel powerless to do anything else.
Later on, after the fire, they would clean her up and reassure that it was for the best, the “price of rebirth”, once everything was settled. But not in that moment. They let her spare all those people, and then killed them right in front of her eyes. Satya may “not kill if she doesn’t have to”, but those people will be killed anyway. That’s the message they wanted to give her. That her refusal to murder for them meant nothing.
That no matter what she does, things will always end how Vishkar wants them to.

Of course he would notice the beautiful woman eyeing him. Her hair was pulled back in a bun that looked a little too neat to be real, and her eyes were intelligently scanning over him. Why was she- She was checking him out. She wanted him. The junker smirks and begins to make his way towards her, running a hand through his hair.
“Ya like what ya see, Sheila? He straightens himself out, patting out some of the embers with one hand while offering her the prosthetic to shake. “Name’s Jamison.”
She got tense, he noticed her and he mad his way to her. She didn’t want to get up and a leave, that’d make it obvious she’s trying to stay away. She wanted to remain professional, there was a Vishkar meeting that was happening today and she had to wait for everything to get ready.
“Satya, hello Jamison.” He offered his prosthetic arm out to sake, look at it. Rusted parts, oil stains, and gun powder dusted all over it. It would make contact with her own prosthetic arm. It would stain and get it all dirty with it’s perfectly clean and white exterior that was very important to her. In quick thinking she bowed to greet him. “What is your business here?”
revvolver:
Mccree pushed open the doors and stood at the entrance for a few seconds, purely THEATRICAL. The coffee may have tasted like boiled dirt, but Overwatch felt comfortable using the place as a rendezvous with his supposed partner. Details on her were VAGUE other than she worked for Vishkar…a corporation that made his blood boil at a higher temperature than the coffee served.
Eyes scanned the diner for any traces of Vishkar and evidence pointed towards the woman dressed in regalia totally unlike these parts. If she wasn’t Vishkar..then his name ain’t Jesse Mccree. The cowboy slowly began to make his way towards her, the ringing of his spurs announcing his arrival. Once the song stopped, Jesse crossed his arms and GLARED at her for a moment, wondering what to say. Fortunately, she broke the ice…awkwardly.
❝ Howdy…so you must be…Satya…well…name’s Mccree..tell me, why would Vishkar send an agent to meet with someone from Overwatch or are you not at liberty to TELL me?❞
Greeting came WITHOUT a handshake or tip of the cap.
After his head ware informed her of this man’s information it made it clear on who he was and why he was here. He’s a former Overwatch agent, that alone meant their attention weren’t friendly but Satya hadn’t expected them to be. She didn’t know him personally but she doubt he was going to comply quietly.
“I’m simply surveying the area, Mr. Mccree. Perhaps with a greater population this area can be a candidate for a Vishkat development. I’d advise you to not interfere, Overwatch or not.” She explained to him. This rundown area could be made into a much more greater place with the Vishkar, why wouldn’t he want that?
Not so commonly talked about/Atypical Autism Traits
Autism has so many traits and manifestations that aren’t commonly discussed or talked about! Frequently, doctors ignore the atypical/”uncommon” traits dismissing and not writing or educating others about them. A lot of doctors have set definitions of autism that aren’t really representative of the autistic community as a whole. Atypical traits in actuality are more common and prevalent than stereotypical ones they just often go ignored therefore less people know about them.
Also, “professionals” often create lists saying atypical traits are gender specific and use functioning disgusting labels to invalidate traits as well as experiences. Autism traits are not different for “boys” or “girls.”. There is a lot of transphobia, misogyny, intersexism, racism, ableism as well as various other forms of oppression in the psychaitric field especially in regards to autism. The sources below do contain unnecessary functioning labels and gendering. Please ignore that and know autism traits aren’t gender specific and that there is no such thing as “severe” and “mild” autism. Autism is a spectrum and every single autistic person manifests autism differently.
Additionally, some traits aren’t just specific to autism but are also traits of various other neurodivergences as well as common among neurotypicals.

Satya looked around, so this was Route 66. She had sat at the diner and enjoyed the silence and cool winds. This place was broken down but She still looked at all of the posters, portraits, and machinery. Despite no longer being in use she couldn’t help but to adjust the portraits, fixed the chairs, and organized some of the items scattered on the tables.
She spent so much time fixing and adjusting this place she had lost track of time. She heard foot steps, the click of boots breaking the silence. She turned to the course of the noise. It was an older gentleman whose attire match the location. She didn’t quite know what to do, she wanted to great him but she was anxious. “Hello.” She said in an awkward tone to him.

Satya eyed the man. He was like a human rag doll, his hair was messy and even emitted embers by some strange reason that did fascinate her. He was dirty and covered in soot, he lacked a shirt; His pants were ragged, poorly patched up, and unwashed. He was missing an arm and leg, the prosthetic were crude and filthy and inferior compared to Satya’s. On top of the fact the he reeked of sulfur, coal, and an array of unpleasant odors.
Satya tried to not make eye contact despite her examination. She didn’t want to attracted his attention and was a tad scarred to speak to him.
