Ok, the amount of racism that Candice Patton has experienced alone is enough to completely obliterate this argument. Fans have photoshopped her into pornographic pictures, they have whitewashed her skin to make her look white, they have called her the n-word, they’ve called her an “affirmative action hire,” they’ve accused her of sleeping with the writers and producers and they have even sent her death threats. There have been nearly a dozen articles and think pieces talking about the racism that Candice Patton has faced from The Flash fandom. Her fans are suspicious for a reason. They’ve had to put up with this for nearly three years.
Before you comment on something, make sure you do your research.
It's posts like this that make people suspicious. You guys are constantly making posts about how outraged you are at being accused of racism, but you NEVER make posts calling out the racist and sexist treatment that the actresses have received. If you want people to take you seriously, then start making a few posts about the abusive treatment that Candice Patton and Katerina Graham have experienced. Westallen and Bamon fans have HARD EVIDENCE of the racist treatment that these characters and ships have received, but the only thing you’re concerned about is your feelings. If you’re not racist, then why are you so bothered?
