Why would you choose the Dinosaur ages as the time frame to restart civilization?  That just doesn’t make sense to me.

Dinosaurs > Everything

The way I've justified it in my head so far is that they're on Pangaea so to spread out on Earth, instead of having to wait on ice bridges, human colonies can just float off on the different continents as they break away.  Also like you said, dinosaurs are cool

Terra Nova is a show that seems tailor-made for the kind of people who like Jurassic Park, Stargate Atlantis/SG-1, and the Troll movies in different ways but approximately equal magnitudes.  What I'm saying is that Terra Nova is, to me, the perfect sci-fi show and I hope it doesn't start taking itself too seriously, because I'm probably gonna keep watching as long as it's on.
