ofrvin:
chocolate hues skimmed the crowd, throngs of people gathered like pesky boxelders in autumn sun. if she was to meet them here, they would find it wise to hustle, or their services would be hired from another individual. waiting was no past time of hers, nor did she entertain the thought of taking it on as a new hobby.
two minutes late…
Curious. People-watching was often something Esme would scold her for as it was considered rude, but Alice had eternity to waste and little to waste it on. Humans were fascinating, and Alice loved getting to know them. In the back of her mind, there were visions left and right as decisions were rapidly made, but she’d learned to tune out ones that meant little to her. The body language of one woman caught her eye, though, and she tore her eyes from the crowd to watch her curiously. Impatient, either in a hurry or waiting for someone--or, maybe, something. Eventually she got up and sauntered over, light on her feet as she went to the woman’s side.
“Some crowd, huh? Easy to get lost in.”
histricus:
“I couldn’t agree more. But if it makes Ness happy, then I can’t imagine being to one to say she can’t see him.”
“Yeah, I get that. Don’t get me wrong, I never want her to be unhappy. It’s just... she looks older than she actually is. It’s concerning.”

“i know we can’t, alice.” the blonde sighed. “we’re reaching the point of not being able to pass for the ages we’re claiming to be, carlisle especially. but this is the only home ness has known. and we have the imprint to take into consideration.” esme knew that would make things more difficult. there was no way that jacob would be able to leave his pack.
Alice’s nose wrinkled at the mention of the imprint, and she sighed in frustration. She didn’t want to risk the safety of her family over a mutt, but she knew how imprints worked. It was important to Jacob, would be important to Renesmee, and Alice highly doubted that Bella would willingly leave her father and Jacob behind unless absolutely necessary. Really, it was tiring. “And Charlie. We just have to get it into their heads that it’s for the better. People will get suspicious, and then these things won’t matter.”

“I get the whole imprinting thing, but it’s still really weird. Like, creepily weird.”

“I don’t know. It might not be stable, but we can’t all stay in Forks forever. Renesmee will understand.”
