Being 2E (Mentally Disabled + High IQ) and living with severe trauma results in, for me, a psychological landscape that can basically be summed up as:

“What if someone raped a supercomputer?”

The result of that would be my brain.

northern il winter nights living in bad conditions with one bed and no heat, no plumbing, no way to cook. this situation was the result of running from stalking. I was 5-6, my sister was 3-4. Mom would shake violently from the cold and would wrap her body around my sister. I often laid silently, unable to sleep. Through the night, usually the blanket would end up wrapped around them as they slept. I never disturbed them and would lay awake uncovered until the morning. They needed it more, I thought - if I was cold, it must be worse for my little sister.
