OWO Whatâs this?
BACK ONLINE!
After Almost a year? I lost track of time.
We are now Back Online and ready to Open to the world!
149.56.247.208:26484
Now thereâs some new things that changed, first off We are no longer a Modded Minecraft Server. Sad day I know D:
But now we are a Plain Spigot 1.9 Server!
So no more downloading Packs, just launch 1.9 and Hop in!
Also like I said 1.9 Not 1.9.2 or such. We are 1.9 and only 1.9 (for now0
So come on in and Start playing!
More Power (and Responsibility) to You!
As you may or may not have been aware, a number of blocks on the server have been unusable by most players because of their ability to be exploited to circumvent our LWC chest protection plugin.
This really sucked as these blocks included item cannons and all kinds of buildcraft extraction pipes! Those are some of the most useful/fun blocks that I know of!
So, in an effort to bring these blocks and items back into the hands of every player, Iâve been doing some serious tinkering with some of the servers various config files. The result: From now on, only the owner of an LWC protected block can place a pipe (of any kind) next to it. This is to prevent other players being able to set up pipe systems to add or subtract from a locked chest that they donât own.
Secondly, Item cannons are once again usable (placeable only by the registered chest owner). Unfortunately, because the cannon is triggered by redstone and not by an individual player, anyone would be able to activate it. Youâll be reminded of this whenever placing one down so the responsibility of not leaving an item cannon placed next to your chest full of diamonds is yours, ok?
Also, a previous exploit where the Buildcraft mod could destroy protected blocks has been sorted out. Itâs a more âexpensiveâ method of griefing than any typical âdrive byâ griefer would bother with, but regardless, itâs impossible now. Any quarries placed over a protected block will mine away as usual but stop when it reaches the protected block.
How to still access the old jobs plugin.
Simply use the command â/mcjobsâ instead of âjobsâ. Thatâs all there is to it. Now you can go about your business as normal!
Maintenance work on the Jobs plugin
Or more specifically, Iâm working on moving us over to using a different jobs plugin that should be able to recognize modded blocks as well as vanilla ones (which is pretty much essential for a server like ours).
While Iâm working on it, the /jobs command wonât work for the old plugin as itâll be âoverwrittenâ by the new plugin but rest assured, the old plugin will be running and youâll still make Septims for any currently chosen jobs you may have. Effectively, itâll all work as usual except for the menus.
Hate having to remember chat commands?
Now you donât need to remember quite as many.
Just type â/commandsâ or â/menuâ into chat to pull up a clickable interface thatâll act as a shortcut for some commands, reminders for others and an easy way to Manage your Septims!
Thereâs also an NPC in spawn now whoâll exchange tanks of oil from one mod to tanks of oil from another mod and back again in case any of you are into that sort of thing. Youâll find him in the forge supplies shop. Not sure if Iâve mentioned that here already.
What else is there? Oh yeh, the more âwebsiteyâ part of the blog has had a few updates recently, so if you havenât checked it out in a while, you might find something new there.
Thatâs about all for now. Feel free to shout at us if weâve broken anything with these updates and from all of us at Prequelcraft,
Slightly Belated, Happy New Year!
A little something extra for our Donators.
If youâre a member of either the Donator or VIP rank on the server, youâll now have access to the â/playertimeâ command. Check out the Ranks page to learn more. As with all the other Donator perks, this wonât give you any in-game advantage over other players (besides night time possibly being a bit brighter) but should still be a nice little addition to your arsenal of commands. Want to know what your new building looks like when lit up a night... During the middle of the day? Well now you can.
TOWNY
How to make a Town
Before starting a town, make sure you have enough money (Septims). Type /money to check your balance. You can either hold money on your inventory, Enderchest or have a [Vault] chest to keep your money safe. To do this just place a normal default minecraft chest down and place a sign onto the chest with [Vault] on the top line.
You will need 3000 Septims to start a town.
Once you have enough money just find a place that you want to start your town and type in /town new TOWNNAME like so /town new BoomTown
This is create your town in the chunk your standing on and make that the town home, which is the town spawn. You can always move the spawn later.
Adding Money to your Town Bank
Drop a chest in your town chunk and place a sign like you would doing your own [vault] but instead of typing [vault] you want to type [town vault]. This will make it so you can store the money in the chest for your town. If you donât want to manually add the money into the chest. Once you make the [town vault] just do /town deposit AMOUNT
Claiming Plots
To add a new chunk to your town, it must be a chunk connecting to a already claimed chunk. Just walk into a chunk next to a town chunk and type in
/plot claim. Adding a Town Plot will cost you 50 Septims.
Buying Bonus Plots
A Bonus plot, is plot points you can buy for your town. When new residents move in your town you gain plot points. In which is more plots you can add to the town. The default when you start a town is 8 plots.
But lets say you want to add more plots but no one new is coming in. Well thatâs totally fine. Just type in /buy bonus NUMBEROFPLOTS
Each bonus plot costs 100 Septims. Rememeber, buying a bonus plot doesnât make the plot, it just gives you more plot points. Doing /buy bonus 2 will add 2 extra plot points to your town. Thus you can buy 2 more plots doing /town claim.
Making Plotâs Buyable
Buyable plots are chunks of your town you can put for sale. This is used for homes. Players that join your town can buy the plot and own the land. They can build, destroy the blocks in that chunk they own.
To make a buyable plot type in /plot forsale HOWMUCHITWILLCOST like so. /plot forsale 100
This will make the plot cost 100 to own.
Taxes
You can set taxes for your residents of your town. To set taxes type in
/town set taxes HOWMUCH
These are just the basic commands to start you off.

Block protection changes.
Now that weâre slowly becoming more well known as a server, weâre getting a steady flow of new players.
To most of these players, we hope you have a great time and look forward to seeing you ingame some time.
There are some players however, that would rather get a quick thrill at the expense of other by destroying their hard work. Such players donât tend to last long on Prequelcraft as theyâll get banned pretty much as soon as theyâre discovered. It is admittedly annoying and disheartening when itâs discovered that someoneâs come along and had a go at âtrashing your stuffâ.
With most griefed blocks, we can just roll back the damage, but for some more complicated structures (modded storage and such), itâs not so easy. For that reason, Weâve done a bit of tinkering in the guts of the server and can now announce that a number of previously unprotected blocks will now be protected by our LWC chest protection plugin by default when placed in the world.
These newly protected blocks include:
All chests from the Iron chests mod
the Hungry chest
Jabba Barrels
pretty much all Storage drawers
the Tinkers construct drying rack
and Open blocks Tanks
More may be added in the future, but for the time being, between those and vanilla chests, that should be pretty much most of the more commonly used storage solutions covered.
Please be aware though that any of these blocks that you may have placed down before this change will not have been automatically protected. This will only happen for newly placed storage.
However, you can easily protect all your existing storage (and anything else you consider valuable enough) by using a small handful of commands.
While thereâs a link to the full list of LWC commands over on our âother useful linksâ page, the 2 main oneâs that youâll probably want to know are:
Persistent mode will let you perform your last command on multiple blocks, until you turn it off. /lwc mode persist <on/off> - Turns on/off the persist mode
and
/cprivate - Create a private protection
You may also notice that a small number of items and blocks have been disabled. This is an unfortunate effect of many mods having blocks or items that can allow players to easily get past existing inventory protection and steal from others. At the moment, these blocks/items are only available to the players whoâve been with us the longest and have proven that thereâs little chance of exploiting these privileges.
Weâre sorry that protecting your stuff in this way effectively means trimming off a little bit of content, but if it helps keep your hard work safely away from prying hands, weâd like to believe that itâs worth it.
Thanks for bearing with us while we continue working out and fine tuning the intricacies of keeping you all adequately protected on a modded server. Itâs more complicated that dealing with Vanilla Minecraft, thatâs for sure XD.
Griefing incident.
Weâve recently had a couple of individuals come on the server and go on something of a barrel breaking spree. Unfortunately, these barrels were not protected by our chest protection plugin. As of now however, all newly placed barrels will be protected by default.
I also regret to have to announce that the âdolleysâ from the barrels mod and backpacks from the camping mod have also been disabled due to their ability to be used in exploiting existing protection and item duplication.
If any one reading this has been effected by this, please donât hesitate to contact Mikey or I on the Discord chat and weâll try our best to get you sorted out.
And of course, the two players involved have been banned.
The sun rises again...
As the undead hoard departs again for another year.
The moon hangs frozen in the night sky...
The undead converge on spawn, baring eerie gifts and the Nether is haunted by a powerful presence...
Weâre back! (finally)
Weâre really sorry about the massive wait, but now that everythingâs back to running how it should be...
The serverâs once again open for business!
Just in time to. Mikey and I were starting to run out of time to get a Halloween event put together...
Also, I just want to thank everyone for baring with us while weâve been trying to get everything back to 100%. While I have no idea what other minecraft servers are like for âuptimeâ, Iâd assume they perform better than we have recently. Then again, we are a modded server running mysql linked plugins to keep your stuff safe and our host has had a lot of work to do recently, so I suppose weâre hardly comparable to a simple âalways upâ vanilla server.
Anyway, to summerise, everythingâs back to normal and youâre all welcome back!
(now letâs all cross our fingers that it stays that way XD)
Do you have an idea on when the server will be back up?
Unfortunately, we do not.
The minecraft server itself seems to be working fine, however, because our host has recently moved entire servers (including our own) to different computers, there are some access problems that are preventing Mikey and I from being able to access the server files and mySQL database thatâs used for recording all block placement and destruction. Essentially, until we can get back into these files, no new changes on the server would be recorded and everybody's buildings and structures would remain unprotected.
Weâre extremely lucky in that we barely ever get griefers on our server, but if thereâs a chance that someone might come online and irreversibly screw up other peoples work, itâs probably best to keep the whole thing offline for the time being until full protection is restored.
As it is, Mikeyâs the only one whoâs in a position to deal directly with our host (as itâs his server) and his free time is stretched pretty thin at the moment so Iâm afraid that Iâm personally limited as to what I can do here.
When they donât touch anything, our host is actually pretty good. Unfortunately, they touched pretty much every part of the server recently so weâre still dealing with the after effects of that.
Hopefully our host can fix these little problems ASAP. As soon as thatâs done, the server should be back up and running again as normal.
More downtime incoming...
You can expect some more server downtime tomorrow as our hostâs planning on performing some more server maintenance and reorganization.
More info can be found here.
Now you can have even more things to craft!
Just place a couple of stone slabs, an oak slab, 4 sticks and a crafting station half-slab into a crafting bench as shown above to unlock access to the additional crafting recipes of the âCarpentry Benchâ!
Any additional crafting recipes that will be added to the server will most likely be craft-able via the Carpentry Bench, so be sure to get hold of one.
