I want to talk about Selene but almost everybody who's here is more familiar with Amber or Ariko so Im going to compromise by talking about Selene and Amber (and if someone wants the Ariko answers as well, you have but to ask and I shall provide)
17. Selene: she doesn't really care much for photographs of herself but she sees a lot of value in those of other subjects, especially throughout history. If given an opportunity to take pictures, she would likely take (low quality) pictures of her loved ones or significant locations. If she acquires a photo, chances are for as long as she has it, it will stay somewhere on her person.
Amber: I think at this point if you've read SMFS you've got an idea of how Amber is about pictures, especially of her people. Emotional support to the maximum. Some of her most treasured belongings are photographs. When given the chance to take photos, she will do so of ANYTHING. Pretty skyline. Interesting lights on the Citadel. Plant she's never seen before. Fish tanks. 48 selfies of her and Garrus. And she keeps many of her photos displayed proudly throughout wherever her quarters happen to be, though a few select deeply personal photos generally get sequestered to drawers and away from prying eyes.
34. Selene: Selene.... has taken many forms throughout her existence. Its kind of one of her 'things', the whole constantly being reincarnated thing. That said, one thing is generally consistent; her height. She is almost always a woman of at least 5'7". She doesn't have a lot of thoughts on her body, considering how many times its changed. To her it's merely the vessel that carries around her consciousness. (To that same end, any time she ends up a 'man' she really doesn't)
Amber: She's pretty slim on average. Being a biotic tends to do that. While she does have SOME muscle mass, its really not very obviously visible, which makes her something of a sleeper build, because she DOES have the strength to do a lot of things, including handle the recoil on the sniper rifle known for breaking human arms. She's not horribly tall or short, if I recall correctly I've said before that she's around 5'5" and I stand by that
49. Selene: due to her whole reincarnation thing, she doesn't really get to keep a whole lot of her valued objects for nearly as long as she'd like. For a while there she had simply stopped assigning value to items as a whole. But eventually she did once more, and that what mattered most wasnt that she'd get to keep that item forever, but that she'd think of whatever memory was attached to it whenever she saw a similar item again. She had to learn to see the point in sentimentality, but she certainly got there.
Amber: She's got a few items of sentimental value at this point. Or, perhaps more accurately, she's assigned sentimental value to many items. Including and not limited to:
-her 2 N7 hoodies (everytime she layers them on now she remembers that time with Garrus and can't help but smile)
-a lighter from her first boss (the only one who ever really had her back)
-selfie of her and Garrus with arms wrapped around each other
-an old note from her mother (one of many left by her mother when she knew she wouldn't be home for a while and didnt want her child to feel completely abandoned)
-(stolen) photograph taken at her mom and dad's wedding (her mother doesn't like that the pictures even still exist, letalone that her daughter has one. Amber keeps it because she noticed that neither actually looked very happy on that day)
In terms of an item she has to take EVERYWHERE with her?
Does Garrus count? well I dont want to spoil my own ideas for my own story. So. There is an item. But like. You guys dont know its going to be a thing yet. And probably wont for.... a long time at this rate. Sooooooooo:)
