She shrugged her shoulder as she pulled the car onto the street and headed toward the exit of the tunnel. “Maybe. I think we’ve earned some good old fashioned fun though, don’t you?” She sighed heavily, keeping to the speed limit. They needed to at least try to stay under the radar for a little longer. “I’m all for dirtying up some reputations in the process.”

She let her hand rest on his for a second. “It’s you. You’re entirely to blame for this crap.” She laughed and shook her head, glancing over at him for a second. “That doesn’t mean it’s not the truth though.” She smirked a little as she slowed down for the exit.

She smiled, thinking about how they’d gotten here. Every bump, every stall, everything everybody else tried to do to kill them or keep them away from each other failed and she felt a little pride in that. She glanced over at him again and her smile got a little wider. “Did they feed you at least? Or should we look for somewhere to stop as we go?”

"I’m inclined to agree, yes...” Brock sighed, giving her thigh a squeeze. Whether they kept a low profile, had some fun as themselves... or caused some trouble as some ‘rogue’ Avengers? They were guaranteed to have a damn good time. “I’ll take the blame for it. Sure, make me a martyr... but let’s not remember who cut this dog o’ war lose.” Honestly? It was going to happen with or without their involvement. Philadelphia was just the push the government needed to speed the process along.

Though implicating Barnes in the bombing would cause some friction between the ‘heroes’. As if the politics of the situation weren’t enough to make things contentious, the Winter Soldier’s involvement ensured there would be some personal factors in play. “I got to wonder if maybe we should get on Barnes’ trail, see if we can get to him before Rogers or the feds. Then again, the damage is done. If he were to go all Terminator again, Rogers might be more quick to give up on him...”

If they could reprogram him? Have a fall guy in their back pocket? It was something to consider.

Snorting when Sin proposed getting something to eat, Brock shook his head. “It was better than the hospital food, but mostly because it wasn’t fed to me though a tube. Tony Stark can afford to fund the Super Friends, build them a base. High tech holding cells. Yet I got stuck with fucking cream of wheat. I’m good for now, babe. I’m saving my appetite.”
