@prettyoungfish
Idrk how to put this into words but I keep noticing whenever people post their oc's who are women the only compliments they get are focused on physical attractiveness or sex appeal e.g. "she's so pretty", "I want her", etc. I dont know maybe I'm crazy but I notice it like every single time someone posts art of a woman. Even like fandom characters where people already know enough about them to give a more meaningful compliment. I swear its all connected bro like to how irl women are only valued for looks and can't be seen as anything more than a pretty face and a body. Anyway Ive been trying to do a little microfeminism lately by making an effort to compliment peoples art in a way that doesnt objectify women I think more people should start being more conscious of this and making an effort too.
I’m beginning to become so tired of seeing those posts in the Michael tags calling him a predator, and talking about how we're all in some "cult" for those of us who defend him/ don't believe the accusers, and continue to praise his art regardless of the allegations attached to him. Believe what you want, but to come up here and say that we all mindlessly defend him and that we're in a cult is so disingenuous, when its so obvious you haven't done your own objective research (I'm not talking about skimming through a few articles or watching obviously doctored documentaries and calling it quits, I'm talking about actually delving in deep and then coming to your own conclusions).
The reason we defend Michael in the first place is because we've researched, looked into the cases, looked into the families and have found the obvious ties to blatant greed for Michael's money, racist tabloids pushing out any narrative they want to about a black man who rose above and beyond white artists, and broke apart racial barriers they didn't want broken (you can do a whole deep dive alone at how racist they were towards him–you can start with MTV). And buying catalogs of other artists with the money he gained from his success (also giving back black artists their catalogs for free), which clearly did more than just irk a few businessmen in the white supremacist, capitalist ladder.
You cannot look at the cases against Michael the same way you can with actual white predators in mainstream media, nor can you look at the cases against Michael the same way you can with current black people in the industry that have mountains of evidence of abuse against them (Diddy, Chris Brown and his abuse of women, etc). There are many contexts to Michael's success, and to blatantly ignore those contexts is ignorant at best, and insidious at worst. You can find countless archives of evidence proving Michael's innocence/ disproving the allegations compiled together by fans who have been objective–who have delved deep into the allegations, and have found ties to corruption, clear intent to get Michael's catalog, and shady businessmen within Sony trying to intimidate Michael.
When you've actually done the extensive, objective research, then you can draw your own conclusions. If you still come out of it believing Michael is guilty, then that's fine, but to continuously push a narrative of us being mindless defenders who are "in a cult" and taking away the context of those of us who have done the research, who have looked through each individual case and context, and have seen the evidence pointing to Michael's innocence is just ridiculous. I can say for certain that many of us would not be defending Michael, nor partake in listening to his art if there was irrefutable evidence that suggested he was a predator (I have been listening to him since I've been in diapers, and I would stop listening to him in a heartbeat if I even thought for a second he was guilty), however, the evidence shows Michael is innocent. Not to mention the fact he was proven innocent in the court of law. I don't think people realize how much the FBI wanted to gut Michael from the inside out, and yet they found NOTHING. Not a single thing that could have convicted him.
I understand the need to believe victims first, but with the world we live in, we have to take into account that there are people who can, will and do lie about being victims for their own gain (look into the parents of those kids, and you'll find out so much). And Michael had plenty of people surrounding him who were snakes in the grass, and stabbed him in the back when the opportunity presented itself.
I'm just so bothered by these people, and the fact they come in with more smoke for Michael than they do for actual freaks in the industry bothers me. There are so many white artists out there that have been confirmed to have been predators, but I never see any of these people come for them like they do Michael. Hmmm, I wonder why 😒
One day I'll meet someone who loves just how much I do
You were complicated, whereas he was simple
I need to stop playing in the snow
I hate people who whine about their oh so terrible friend but continue to keep them as a friend and not point out their behaviour to them. Like bro I'm tired of hearing you complain when ur obviously not doing anything about it except talking shit about them behind their back
The world will pay for what they did to him
People be like I'm the liberian girl michael was singing about and then be white 😭😭😭
If I find out any of my friends are a guilter I'm deadass going to cut off all contact with them you can talk to th Hand
Can I sing you 100 love songs? DM me.

Some people seem to misunderstand that Kuang is painting Robin’s self-sacrifice as noble, when I really didn’t read it that way. If anything it’s emphasized that he was looking for an opening, a justifiable reason to take the ‘easy way out’, as Ramy put it. He even admits that Ramy was right. Robin’s death is a tragedy not because it’s righteous self sacrifice but because he couldn’t overcome his own itch to martyr himself rather than live in shame and grief and discomfort, yet persevering. People think the protagonist has to be on a pedestal to be worthy of being the protagonist, but Kuang really doesn’t try to put Robin on a high horse. Before they join the effort to stop the war against China, before they seize Babble, Robin is a coward. He’s frightened, complacent, and indecisive. Afterwards, before the Westminster Bridge falls, he’s reckless, combative, impatient, and borders on uncompromising because he’s now fully converted to Griffin’s philosophy of violence. But he’s never some knight in shining armor. He’s not some shining voice of reason or revolutionary strategy. He’s just a scared boy. That’s what he is. That’s what he’s always been.
Your positive impact on the world will never be forgotten. Thank you, Michael.
