I have acne on my face, chest, neck, back, and shoulders. I don't always have big and painful zits, I try to keep my face clean and moisturize. But it's there and very noticeable. How can I be confident with bad skin? I love v-necks/short sleeved shirts but I feel like everybody is staring at me and they think I'm disgusting. I live in Florida and I'm tired of wearing jackets when it's hot outside which is basically always. Any advice on how to be okay with showing skin? (16 yr old girl)
Hello lovely! Confidence is definitely tricky for me. Some days, I’m fine with my skin and other days, I want to cry. But my best tip is to FAKE IT TILL YOU MAKE IT!
Other tips I have is to be comfortable in your skin and to not hate your body. It’s really easy to hate and criticize oneself. Know that acne is temporary and will go away with time. Know that your body is an amazing container of energy, memories, your spirit, and everything else. Your body works hard to keep you alive so it’s best to treat it right! Give yourself a compliment each day, skin related or not. Be positive about your body, skin, and self. :) Good luck!
