So everyone is aware, I am in my early-30s I'm always open for asks, @s or DMs for RPs or really any kind of interaction! Also feel free to use anything I write as a starter to interact with Husam too! Part of TAOCC, run by Mod Gryphon/Vian

Hey, name's Husam. I'm one of the Pharaoh's head guards, or ya might've seen me workin' in Rubio's shop. So, what d'ya want from me?

[Boundaries and other stuff below cut. Also going to apologize above cut for the poorly translated Arabic you'll occasionally find here, I'll translate what I was trying to say in the tags of my posts.]

Boundaries and Other Things:

-Anyone coming into my askbox/messages with racism, LGBTQA+phobia, ableism, and any other hate speech will be blocked and reported. I have zero tolerance for such things. Obviously, RPing this stuff is different, but I would like to be warned via DM/ask before the RP ask with hate speech is sent.

-Any suggestive asks will be deleted, unless they are from people who have my permission to send such asks. I get very uncomfortable when people I don't know well send me that sort of stuff, especially since I do not know how old they are.

-I'm kinda slow with replies, so please be patient with me. I can also be a bit forgetful sometimes, especially if I’ve got a lot going on. So, if I haven’t responded to something after about a day, feel free to send a gentle reminder via my askbox or messages.

-If you want me to respond to something, please use @prideful-khopesh, so I can easily find it. You don’t have to tag me when answering asks I have sent, I tag myself in most messages I send!

-For those of you using anon to talk to me, please say who you are in your asks, so I know who I am talking to. I can be fairly oblivious to things like writing patterns, and so I probably won’t know who you are unless you outright tell me.

-If I do anything wrong, or I’ve upset you in any way, please let me know. I struggle with social things, so sometimes I make mistakes, but I always strive to learn from my mistakes and get better!

-I'm not used to using trigger/content warnings, though I do try and tag some things. If you need me to tag a specific trigger, please let me know, and I'll be particularly careful to tag it.

-And most importantly, everyone have fun, be kind to yourselves, take breaks if you need them, and keep being awesome! <3

Husam Info:

Husam is a 22 year old cis man, he is also gay, polyamorous and demiromantic. His birthday is August 18th. (He was 21 when he entered the circus)

He's 5'8

His favorite weapon and the one he is most skilled in is the khopesh. He also is very skilled with spear, dagger and sling, and pretty decent with short sword and recurve bow.

Under his headdress and cape he has short dark brown hair, and he has crocodile scutes going down his spine.

He mostly has a Londoner accent mixed with a bit of an Egyptian accent. I can't find a good voice claim, I would appreciate any suggestions! Tentatively using Odysseus from Epic: The Musical as a voice claim.

*As they exit the temple, Rubio doesn't even turn back. He holds Feme and his bag of rations and supplies close to him, undeniably tense, as he begins walking the streets of city, a straight, unwavering path right to the end of the urbanscape.*

*And out the door he goes, holding it open for Husam.*

*Husam nods, and as he watches Rubio get Feme settled he leans a little against a wall, carefully moving his arms a bit to make holding Isis a bit more comfortable. She’s not too heavy but he thinks he'll probably only be able to get a short distance outside of town before needing to put her down, hopefully she’ll be awake by then and can walk on her own for a little while.*

*He chuckles softly at the way Rubio and Feme are staring at each other.*

Well, she seems pretty comfortable there.

Mmhm, I’ll keep an eye out for sheltered spots ta rest in too. It's still pretty cool out right now, the sooner we leave the further we’ll get before we have ta stop. You’ll have ta take lead, I ain’t got a clue which direction we have ta go in.

It will be a single straight line.

*Grabbing a blanket, Rubio wraps his whole torso in the woven cotton fibers before using Feme's swaddle and making a sort of sling for her to rest against his chest with. The baby looks up at Rubio as he settles her in. He looks back down at her, eye widening just a tad.*

Don’t worry, I will. Almost certainly gonna have ta take one ‘round midday at least. The heat then's pretty nasty even for me, and ‘m guessin’ it’ll prob’ly be worse for the girls.

*He flinches a little as Feme starts coughing.*

Think after we find Razzie we should try ta see if this Candleton place has any doctors. Maybe they can help her more than the ones here can.

*Feme begins coughing a bit, to which Rubio immediately starts patting her back through her swaddle. Seems like it's basically instinct now.*

*Husam tenses a little as Isis wakes up before nodding.*

Yeah, it’s just me, kiddo. You’re okay.

*He chuckles a little as she falls asleep again, and looks back over at Rubio.*

How long will it take us ta get there, d’ya know?

Okay, I got it.

*He’s quick to grab the bag and readjust his own so he can carry both of them. Then he gently picks up Isis, trying not to disturb her too much as he does. He’s definitely gotten a lot more comfortable doing this, less nervous about accidentally hurting her.*

*Once she's in his arms, she jolts ever so slightly and peeks an eye open.*

".... hm...mhusam...?"

It's okay, Isis. We're going to find Miss Razzie. Go back to sleep.

"Mmmmmmm..."

*And back asleep she does fall, head rested on Husam's shoulder. She likes the tecture of the lionskin cape, it seems.*

Yeah, I got everythin’ sorted now, so whenever you’re all ready, we can go.

*He smiles down at Feme in Rubio’s arms, before looking past him to see if Isis was up or not.*

*Husam knocks on Rubio's door pretty early in the morning. He still felt a little bad about postponing the trip and now that he was free to leave he didn’t want to make Rubio wait any longer. He adjusts a fairly large bag hanging off his shoulder as he waits for the door to be answered. He wasn't sure how long they'd be gone so he erred on the side of caution and packed most of his clothes as well as a few other things that might be needed.*

*It's rather early in the morning, the sun has hardly risen. Rubio answers the door, Feme fast asleep in his arms.*

Hm?

*Before he can actually say anything, he sees the bag Husam has. In an instant, it feels as if his whole demeanor has changed from slightly tired and indifferent to perfectly alert.*

Ready?

*your heart feels a little heavier.*

*Husam shakes the feeling off. It's not the first time he's had a sinking feeling since the end of the war, like it's all too good to be true and it's only a matter of time before bad things start happening again, and he doubts it'll be the last.*

*He tenses for just a moment at the nuzzle, like he’s trying to decide if he likes it or not, before he relaxes into it and gives Essam another kiss.*

I… I love ya too, birdboy.

*Then he pulls away to stand up.*

Ya try and focus on gettin’ better, and I’ll be back ‘fore ya know it.

*He starts to head out, but just before he leaves he looks back with a teasing smirk.*

*And then he’s gone.*

*He jerks away with a growl to glare at the nurses that cooed, but doesn’t lower his hand from Essam’s cheek. And then he looks back at his new boyfriend.*

*As if to prove his point, Husam kisses him again before pulling back with a little smirk.*
