Wait, I know you
I used to be in a relationship. Then I took an arrow to the knee
((What's up everyone? How has everyone been?))
skyrimtravelogue said: (( hey, it’s alright! it’s good to see you’re alright, but please don’t feel obligated to reply or anything if you’re busy. real life stuff comes first ))
((Hi!!! Thank you, it's relieving to hear that <3
I've missed you and Ed!))
((Hey, how has everyone been?
I've been alright, busy with school right now.
I tried to come back two weeks after my grandpa's funeral, I had (and still do have) rps in my drafts, but I just couldn't write. I tried a few more times after that, but I just couldn't do it.
School's back in session, and I'm trying to get a job so I can move out of my house. I really need to move.
I miss you guys and I think about you all very often. I apologize for everyone who never got a reply from me, and I understand if there are any hard feelings or if anyone is upset with me.))
((Sooo
I've been gone for quite a while. Things are starting to get back to normal here.
I don't really know where to pick back up. When I left, I was in such a state of shock that I didn't save any drafts or anything. I know I owe Skyrimtravelogue and Wrathfullandsullen, but I'm not sure who else I owe))
((Hello everyone))
Summertime Sadness II, ft. Elvira and Edgard
Thinking that she hadn’t seen him, Edgard’s mind flitted to different things. He figured that he might as well begin mentally composing his travelogue entry for Solitude:
“‘Solitude. That beautiful port city on the seaside cliffs. A refreshing breeze whistling through the great stone arch, and birds gracefully circling overheard. There are many grand sights to be seen, of course, but what of the people there? Well, as you’d imagine from its status as the capital of the Imperial presence in Skyrim, Solitude is a relatively safe and prosperous place, with the inevitable tradeoff being that it is full of lily-white strangers who will try to establish camaraderie with you by touching your arm or shoulder without your permission.”
As soon as he had imagined the full stop at the end of that sentence, someone touched his shoulder. He spun around, and broke into a flurry of confused exclamations once he realized who it was.
"Ah! Sister! That is how you address a Priestess of the Cyrodiilic Divines, is it? Er, Sister, did your sister speak to you about me? I mean— oh, you know what I mean…."
"Oh, you can call me Elvira, there's no need for formalities dear." The priestess waved a hand in the air, wrapping her other arm around his, and began walking back to her table.
"Actually, I haven't seen her. Has something happened between the two of you? I'm going to assume that your date didn't go well." The priestess sighed softly, "I'm guessing she went to look for me, but probably got distracted at the cemetery and is now sulking there." She patted his elbow, "so, would you like to talk about it? I'm sure I could help you make sense of my sisters actions, words, or anything else on the matter."
Really now?
Thavrin wasn’t a principled man by any means, regardless of what he thought about himself. His opinions and convictions often changed, adapting to various situations. There were still a few things he hated no matter what the situation; being condescended to was one of them, and another was having someone’s idea of charity forced upon him. It was a feeling he shared with a lot of poor, disenfranchised people, in fact.
The idea that he should have to accept some high-handed “assistance” from the very people who kept him underfoot made the bile rise in his throat, made him mad enough to spit—which he did. He spat right at her shoes and snarled like an animal, backing away from her.
"I don’t care who you are, or how many asses you had to lick to get your positions! Don’t presume that I need or want your help, and don’t think you’re gonna force it onto me without consequences. They’re gonna find a dead body out here one way or another if you don’t back off.”
Autumn sighed, she could have been a bit gentler about how she went about that. It had been a long time since she had messed up this bad, but oh well. She was going to get her way. Eventually. "Yes, yes, spit out your insults. And your spit. All you want." She waved a hand idly and sighed.
She bit her tongue and rolled her eyes, "so perhaps I'm going about this the wrong way." The Thane picked looked over one of her gauntlets, idly scraping dirt trapped between the plates. "It was not my intention to insult you. However, I can't have someone wandering outside the city as you are, and you're in enough trouble with the guards as it is. I come to you as a friend. Believe it or not, I was in a very similar situation to yourself. So please, forgive me for my transgression."
Well hello there
"I’m alright." she said slowly, her tail flicking about in a soft wag. She seemed fairly happy to see Elvira, if not a bit reserved. She eyed the sweetrolls for a moment before nodding and reaching out for one "Thank you."
Elvira handed her a sweetroll, "you're welcome dear. Your mother tells me you've found someone special." The priestess grinned, "I'm very happy for you dear! I would like to meet him some day, if that's alright with you."
Summertime Sadness II, ft. Elvira and Edgard
He’d always been unlucky with women, and liked to consider himself accustomed to it by now. The situation with Autumn was a lost cause, Edgard figured, and the best thing to do was pick himself up and move on. He unpacked his belongings, changed his clothes, washed his face, did some stretches. Still a vague restlessness lingered.
Maybe he’d take the same advice he gave Autumn, and go take a pleasant stroll down the high street and through the marketplace, he thought. Wasn’t it moderately famous? Fairly picturesque, and had an entire two sentences devoted to it in Walking the World, Volume Nine. It was hardly the Fredas Souk in Hegathe, true, but all markets are beautiful in their own way, he strongly felt. The Well District was still a pleasant enough place to waste time and look at a variety of novel weird things, and in the end, wasn’t that what all entertainment strove to be?
He tucked his vest in as he tromped down the stairs of the Winking Skeever, and was halfway to the exit when the faintly familiar features of another pale lady in black caught his eye across the room. Damn. Wasn’t that Autumn’s sister? He looked away and kept heading for the door as though he didn’t recognize her, hoping that she hadn’t seen him.
Elvira was sitting in the Winking Skeever, idly reading a book. She was listening to the atmosphere, catching bits of gossip here and there, hoping for something to do. Lady Mara had been silent with visions and feelings lately, but she felt compelled to stay in the city. So, there she sat, waiting for some opportunity to do something of use in the city.
She heard someone walking down the stairs, conveniently timed, as the bard's song had just ended. From the corner of her eye, she could see a man who looked very familiar. One of her eyebrows raised, she snuck a quick look at him, and confirmed him to be Edgard, the man who had been drinking with her sister the night before. He looked a bit upset...
The wheels in the priestess's head spun. This must be the opportunity she had been waiting for, the reason she felt compelled to stay in the city. Who better to help her sister with relationships than her?
Shutting her book quickly, the priestess rose and glided through the room at an impressive pace. Just before Edgard could reach the door, Elvira gently placed her hand on his shoulder, "pardon me dear, but aren't you the man my sister was seeing? You seem troubled, perhaps you would like to talk about it? I know my sister can be a bit much to deal with, come, sit with me. I have some freshly baked sweetrolls if you would like one."
"Anything else?" He seemed to consider, then shook his head. "No, you have done more than enough. And I thank you for it. I think I ought to… to nap until sundown, if I can. It’s been a little while since I’ve had a proper day’s sleep and I’m actually rather tired."
"I shall leave you to rest then." Elvira smiled once again, gently patting him on the back before leaving his side. She would keep an eye on him, not only for the safety of others, but for his own safety. She didn't want Maramal to bother him, lest the head priest find out that the man resting on the benches was a vampire.

"Most people call me Bunny, so you can just call me that I guess." she smiled "Matchmaker huh? So like are you ordained to perform weddings and stuff?"
"Bunny it is then." The priestess grinned, "actually, I am! It is one of my duties as a priestess of Mara to perform weddings. Are you looking to be wed?"
((Heyyyyyyyyy
What's up?))
Really now?
"Thane, huh? Well look at you." Thavrin’s voice dripped with sarcasm, and he sneered as he watched her. Typical. If these locals weren’t too busy avoiding him or sending him from their sight, they were being condescending and preachy.
Was she a Nord, though? At first glance she looked thoroughly, annoyingly human. Now that he took a second look though, there was something odd about her features—her ears, for one thing…
He shrank away from her hand when she reached out to him. “What’re you talking about? There’s a whole bunch of ways back in the city, and I’m pretty sure the Ratway isn’t one of them. And anyway, they usually let me back in after nightfall. Guess they don’t wanna deal with a dead elf in the morning. Why do you care, anyway?”
"Well, no man, woman, or mer ever wants to come across a dead body on their watch, can you blame them?" She shook her head at the mer, her arm staying outstretched, "come now, I won't harm you, there's nothing to gain from that."
Autumn sighed internally, this one was going to be a difficult one to turn around, she could feel it. Every now and then she wondered why she did care, only to remember that for each failure, there is the possibility of success in another. She's worked hard for her position, and cares for the people of Skyrim deeply, no matter their status. Even though she might not be able to save every person she comes across, the Thane was almost always willing to try.
"I am Thane in the holds of this land for a reason. That reason is because I care. I care for this land, and its people. Whether you were born here or not matters not to me, you're here and I'm going to help you back on your feet whether you like it or not." The look on her face was stern, her white eyes steely.
"Ah, if they were caused by a Daedric Prince, perhaps they would be easier to dispel… While I wouldn’t be surprised to hear that the Prince of Nightmares might have something to do with… this… Well, it’s not something that I can get rid of, as far as I can tell. It’s just a part of the affliction, like the strange eye colour or the fangs.”
He shrugged, though, and smiled. It was something he had long since made peace with after all.
"That is most strange, but I suppose you're right." She smiled lightly at him, he seemed to be alright anyways. Elvira gently patted his back, "is there anything else I can do for you dear?" Her mind briefly drifted back to his mentioning of having a patient, but quickly dismissed the idea. He seemed to not be a threat to the temple, and was pleasant in company, so she relaxed a little.
