I’ve always been very picky when it comes to facial wipes. I mainly use them for removing makeup, or for refreshing my skin when I’m on the go. Most wipes I use, I really don’t like - I either feel like they’re a ripoff, and are too expensive, or that they don’t have the right amount of moisture and feel rough. A sign of a good wipe is that you don’t have to scrub to remove product from the skin, and your wipes shouldn’t leave your skin feeling greasy or dry and tight. With all of these factors taken into account, I can say that I really enjoy these wipes and I’ll definitely be repurchasing!
Burt’s Bees is a natural brand with a cult following… but I’ve never really been over the moon about their stuff. It’s great that they’re cruelty free, good for sensitive skin, and use natural and organic ingredients, but nothing has ever really ‘wowed’ me before. I don’t know where or how I even got these wipes, but I dug them out of a drawer a week or two ago and have been hooked ever since.
These wipes are super cheap, and perform just like the “high end” wipes that I covet [Ole Henricksen Clean Truth Wipes, $15 for 30]. The ones that I have are the Facial Cleansing Wipes with White Tea Extract - after browsing the Burt’s Bees website, I’ve discovered a few other scents that I now want to try, like Peach & Willowbark and Cucumber & Sage. White Tea Extract is a vitamin-rich ingredient, and contains polyphenols which help to fight free radicals (which can cause dryness, irritation, and premature aging!) There is also cucumber extract and aloe in these wipes, and they are “99.1% natural”. They are heavily fragranced, which could be irritating to some people, particularly around the eyes. Otherwise I didn’t find them to be harsh at all. They make my skin feel incredibly clean without being oily or too dry. I’d definitely recommend them!
