Politics of sentiment and sympathy for incompetent leaders influenced on the basis of friendship, blood ties and party affiliations at the expense of the people’s development must be discouraged. As we approach 2023 in hopes of exercising our franchise, we must acknowledge the fact that the development of our people and place that comes first and must be prioritized, not our friendship, not our blood ties, not even our party affiliations with underperforming representatives. That we must bear in mind and consciously work to actualize in the coming elections. As responsible citizens it is our aim to see to the development of our people and place. To achieve the above aim in the process of choosing those who will be at the helm of affairs, we must assess the performance of those who are currently representing us and are seeking for return as well as those who are joining the race to occupy key political positions at local, state and federal level, so as to guide our actions in aligning with the developmental goal of our people and place. 15th of September was nothing but a day filled with Joy as you all took your precious time to send Prince your best wishes. I can still hear the echoes of the birthday songs in my ears, a melody of love at its best, amazing it is❤️👌🏿, the audio and video calls, so caring that I asked who am I to deserve all this? The birthday posts that has send a sensation through the spine, for a second, I had to ask who are you Prince Okporu? He is matured and very responsible. Hardworking motivated, determined and self driven to deliver results which are EXCEPTIONAL. I had a few training sessions with him and he is seen to be a willing learner. He is smart, intelligent and currently they are revising the COLREGS on a daily basis. He holds very commendable skill in communications and well organized. Best Deck cadet I have got so far with my 3 years service in NSML. Become a much more better person each passing day, in character and in knowledge of what promotes my well-being, family, friends, community and society at large.
