My time is precious and I need to start acting like it. It’s not for me to keep giving and not having the most fun with my experiences. Fuck all the niceties and being on the side, Watching other people, saying “next time” the time is now and I don’t take no for an answer for the things I need in my life. I call it into action. I demand and decree my life to be dope, no financial burdens, my surroundings filled with good energy and clean air. This life is mine. So it will be loved how I want it. How I need it to be lived.

There’s just gotta be a place where I don’t feel as stressed.

A job or two that’s right for me. Or the opportunity to make a position for myself. A way for me to go back to school and not survive off of rice alone.

I want to visualize better things when I think sad like this. I want to see myself strong, intelligent, adorned with accolades and accomplishments, surrounded by luxury, with my woman by my side with a smile as bright as the sun on the cusp of day time.

Sometimes all I feel is myself decaying away. My soul rotting from lack of creativity and culture. I’ve been exposed to the light and then thrown in the dungeon. There’s gotta be a way out. I’m dying before my time and no one is going to pick me off of the ground. They’ll imagine I’m a part of the pavement. See this broad back my parents were proud to stand behind is losing shape, the sculpted physique and defined muscles are losing their mass.

You feed a need while they take chunks of you for a puppet show. Display for anyone to taste, they’re a savage clan, cruel to every touch hands that know too much. But I’m supposed to act nice and be a 3 course meal for this demon every night.

So, I’ll flee. I’m not dead and every breath matters. My life matters. My dreams matter. This cage was a cubicle with my name on it. It’ll be empty next year, and I’ll be somewhere, anywhere that’s good to me. Not there.

Except that is not mansplaining -- mansplaining is a man, assuming he knows everything better than women simply by virtue of being a man, trying to explain something he doesn’t know that much about to a woman who is expert in that area.  This is a man sharing his knowledge with a woman who has clearly demonstrated she has no idea what she is talking about.  That’s just called explaining.

Jorge Gonzalez, suffered a broken neck, and a compressed spine at the hands of 3 sheriff deputies in Texas. He couldn’t even hold his head up for this mugshot…so they had to hold it up for him. They actually thought the mugshot was more important than a hospital visit.

After a deputy tripped him he hit his face hard and went unconscious. They tased him couple of times “to wake him up”.

He was left paralyzed neck down, went through a series of surgeries, and was in ICU on the ventilator for over a month after the arrest.

According to the hospital he went over 26 hours in Hidalgo County jail without necessary medical attention that could have saved his life.

Rangers investigating arrest by sheriff’s office - The Monitor

The Texas Rangers are investigating an incident involving the Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office after the family of a man who died last month

“Deputies advised Gonzalez he was being placed under arrest for violating the emergency management plan, according to the complaint. He was also informed he was going to be charged with public intoxication.”

These cops beat a man to death because he was outside.

There are inconsistencies in the report and they fail to provide details about how he allegedly resisted arrest. Nevermind that nothing in this report - not a shelter-in-place violation, not drinking, not resisting arrest - justify multiple people ganging up on one person, breaking his neck, and failing to obtain medical care.

This man died because police are the institutionalization of prejudice and brutality, and this country requires you have papers to be treated like a human and insurance to live.

They didn’t even take him to the hospital in an ambulance.
