I just wanted to say: the "no cross pairing kissing" rule killed only friends: dream on narratively. It's so bland, especially when we know what it should have been. Mike's ending makes me even more sad because he never could get his own story. He was just a coward, with Eleven and with Will. Like come on, he NEEDED Eleven by his side because it was the only thing stopping him from accepting his feelings for Will. But instead he just never really became himself, he just closed himself completely. I'm not even a Byler shipper but I spent years suffering queerbaiting/unresolved gay stories and that's OBVIOUSLY a gay man.
