All I want to listen to on this misty day is early to middle 90s jungle I want to pretend the Internet is the Old Internet and visit many personal websites, while fondly daydreaming about the future instead of dreading it
Topics of Interest
1. Bose-Einstein Condensate 2. Outrageous click bait titles that I refuse to click on, such as "14 Selfies Taken Right Before Death Can you bear to see this?" I wonder who spends their time making lists like this, and I also wonder who clicks on it and believes such obvious bullshit, and I also wonder what kind of adware/spyware/etc, is lurking around on those pages. 3. Bill Viola's "First Dream" movie, from 1981. It is not the greatest movie ever, but it is extremely hypnotic, and quite engaging for "video art." 4. The idea of properly utilizing a herringbone ball cap and a herringbone sweater in one outfit 5. Why must I build credit when I'm already in debt? Doesn't that prove that I am already willing to get fucked by banks. Am I not what they're looking for, a source of income to drain via cumulative interest? 6. Carmina Burana (autotune remix)
Despite the true onset of cold temperatures, my music interests has remained fixed on a strange amalgam of 90s hardcore (dance), dungeon synth, and academic electronic pieces. Normally, my taste tends to shift with changes in the weather, changes in my daily schedule, and so on, but I can't seem to stop hunting for rare, and not so rare, hardcore singles/EPs. In addition, I've been testing the waters of early trance music, but it's not claustrophobic enough or something...too earthly maybe. I like the idea of someone going into one of those legendary clubs like Energiehal in Rotterdam, and feeling suffocated by the darkness, and by the relentless pounding of the bass. Escaping into a k-hole, they are gently pulled into a distant dimension..wherein they find solitude among castle ruins. While browsing the cobwebbed library, they come upon an ancient spell book. After reciting the first appealing incantation, they're back in Holland, being shoved out of the back door by a burly bouncer. For several days and or/weeks following this event, they are convinced that they're an incarnation of Dietrich Buxtehude. Despite this "issue," their buddies still drag them out every weekend, and as a consequence, they abandon the rave scene to get their phD in music theory. With time, and with access to a VSC3 synthesizer, the deep longing to return to the ancient castle is expressed and resolved through the composition of a 2-hour piece of musique concrete titled, "Sorcerer's Shuffle - Explorations in 220 BPM"
