List of Spirit Hunter Let's Plays/Playthroughs: Highlighted and English PART 1

Something that’s been on my “after exam season is over”-list is to make a list of all the Spirit Hunter Let’s Plays/Playthroughs I can find. This is an idea I came up with together with @importantdestinydefendor! Since we love these games so much, we thought it would be fun to discover and support the different creators who play them online.

what got you into Death Mark ?

My first ever ask since I didn't realize my asks were off this entire time lol oops. Hi nonnie! (⁠＾⁠∇⁠＾⁠)⁠ﾉ⁠♪

What originally got me into Death Mark was just seeing Manlybadasshero's playthrough in my subscription feed and decided to watch it on a whim. I was still in highschool when I watched it, 17 at the time lol.

The funny thing was that when I finished the series I was like "Yeah I guess it was pretty good, time to go on with my life."

But then the brain worm struck.

And it struck. HARD.

the funniest scene in the entire game, no competition, is when, in order to run from shimi-o, yashiki dives headfirst through the window of his van and slams his head on the steering wheel. actually, forget the game, the entire series. it genuinely does not get funnier than that hes so fucking stupid hes a flop little anime girl of a man and if they omit that scene from the remake i might genuinely cry. i love him. second funniest is when he gets hit in the head by a stray baseball bat in ch6.

It's been so hot at work today in the garden center, but my mind kinda wandered while cleaning strawberry plants about Mashita's little quirk of blowing smoke in non-smokers faces.

I believe the actual reason he does that (because I highly doubt he just does that on a whim to rile people up- although he does like doing that) is that he's connected the memory of his senior to smoking. Whether the act itself or an aspect of it (like the smell or sight of the smoke, sound of a lighter flicking, etc.)

Mashita's personality is one of showing care through duty- actions over words. And if his memories of his senior were of them hanging out during smoke breaks in the force, or having a smoke after work at an izakaya or restaurant together, in his mind it keeps him alive- not just a memory. It's why he holds onto his seniors lighter like a treasure.

So when a non-smoker chastises his habit or calls it gross, to him- deep inside - it feels like a dig against his senior. And so he retaliates. His personality is one of fairness and justice. So to him, blowing the smoke in their face feels like a fair trade, in his mind he's protecting his seniors legacy cause that's just how much he meant to him.

Aaaaanyway enough useless rambling, my lunch breaks almost over, back into the heat again. 🫩🫠

Hey guys, I'm back with another Death Mark/Yashiki art! But first I wanna thank you guys so, so much for the many positive commentaries and support from last time - I felt very touched, that means a lot to me!! <3 <3 My art is something very important to me and it helps me get through life, even if I'm not always able to draw - and it means the world to me that there's people who like what I'm doing! :' )

Sorry this came out a little dark/sad, I tend to draw more dramatic stuff when I'm feeling low (Yashiki here looks a lot how I've been feeling inwardly lately)... ^^' I know I've already drawn a similar looking piece for the inktober challenge, but the inspiration for this one came from the way Saya dies in the story - I imagined how Yashiki would look like with a chest full of flowers. And then I somehow ended up combining that with drawing the ribs and spine partly visible again - I just think it makes for a cool effect, adding bone/skeleton-parts on characters in a drawing. The stark contrast of the white ribs against the black shadows in the free space in-between has an interesting look. I guess the background ended up looking a bit empty - originally I had planned to fill it with a lot more flowers but lost motivation at some point... 'xD The chest should probably have some more flowers as well, but I did want the ribs to be still visible and not covered too much. I guess I need a lot more practice in how to fill empty space in drawings more efficiently (and aesthetically). I'm always planning to draw more detailed pieces but end up getting lazy in the end... ^^' And I know I probably did some anatomical mistakes here (for one I should've moved the cervical spine much more into the back - noticed that a little too late...).

Anyway, thank you guys for taking a look! Let me know what you think of it if you like. :) I don't know when I'll post again but I hope it will be soon. Until then, take care!

Happy Man Mansion Monday everyone!

I finally sat down and watched this audio drama and it's so funny and cute!! Thank God for the amazing ppl in this fandom who subtitle and edit the audio dramas 🥰

Of course the Yashita bait instantly stood out to me XD The drama literally starts out with Mashita complaining about how much he hates investigating paranormal cases for Yasuoka, only to reveal that he only deals with it because he doesn't want to make Yashiki look bad. Of course, he'd never say how much he cares to Yashiki's face XD Typical Mashita behavior

Then there's the frustrated way Mashita reacts when Maruhashi asks him about bringing a girlfriend to help out since the ghost only reacts to couples XD It's cute to imagine how Yashiki and him might have played couple to get the free drink (though it's implied the machine just needs the presence of any girl and guy regardless of relation so it probably wouldn't work lol)

Okay so idk if this counts as shippy but there is still kinda an implied "couple" what with the conditions of the curse and all! Of course, Mashita instantly thinking of potentially poisoning Yashiki with a drink that's his favorite flavor is not very cute XD I'm sure nothing bad will happen lol

And finally, I really enjoyed how not just one but THREE of Yashiki's friends wanted to trick Akira into challenging "Masamune Kujo" to a duel XD It was super funny to see him built up as this hulking God of war when he is just... Some guy. Of course, because he and Mashita come as a set, Mashita also got his own fantastical description! It's comforting to know Yashiki probably won't actually get beat up with his loyal green sorcerer around XD

oh haha dont mind me im just thinking of what mashita was thinking post-the route where shou is killed by the departed. haha no its probably nothing really just a few stray thoughts here n there. but i mean if i was mashita it would probably be a bit life-ruining to see your assistant/younger brother figure survive not one not two but three separate spirit cases and come out alive n well but then four months later hes done in by some random-ass spirit you were coincidentally just not there for. like you werent even around to help or stop it or anything. and yknow if you were there you definitely wouldve been able to help in some way, or at least gotten him out of there, but you werent. yeah haha yknow but it probably doesnt haunt him after at all cuz why would it haha? i mean imagine him spending every day after that thinking about how if he had just gone to the school himself he could have forced yashiki to see what was right in front of him before it was too late but i mean hes probably fine. and i am also fine and not constantly thinking about this forever and ever.

anyways how is your day going is it going good thats good i personally am ruined forever over these two little fucks (and also hazuki but i will post about gods best angel later on)
