Since my last post, I have completed ALL of my roommate gifts (plus one for my honorary mousemate, Antoinette), and I have packed up my car for Florida! Tomorrow I leave for Beaumont to hang out with some of my Chi Phi sisters (plus my friend Tracie, who is pretty much my sister) and then stopping in Louisiana to stay with Jon one more time before I move. It’s going to be extremely difficult saying bye to all of them, but at the same time, it won’t be for too long! I’m sure my time at the happiest place on Earth will fly by anyway :)
While I can’t wait to see my Antoinetterz again, I am also incredibly excited to meet the roommates I have been talking to for the past few months. Tomorrow one of them starts their drive as well, and she is picking up two other girls along the way. Another one of my mousemates will be starting her trip the day after, on Friday, and the rest are flying into Orlando. We’ve all been chatting on the group message lately about how extremely excited we all our and have been comparing our schedules we got for the first week, trying to see if any of us have check-in, casting, or housing orientation at the same time!
Let me give you a better idea of who I am going to be living with over the next 4 months:
She is an EXTREMELY talented make-up artist and dancer! Also crazy gorgeous <3
She is an alumni of the Disney College Program and has been SUPER helpful with tips and advice over the long 3 months of waiting! Plus she makes absolutely HILARIOUS faces in her dub-smashes (and photos...obviously). You can expect to see some awesome dubs from the two of us in the future, both on here and my YouTube channel (link at the bottom of this post).
If you can’t tell already, she is really into anime and cosplay (which already scored her an insane amount of cool points). She also just got back from Tokyo Disney in time to start re-packing things for her move to Florida! This girl is unstoppable and I can’t wait to meet her and nerd out with her over all things Asian <3 P.S. She’s also bringing a rice cooker, so she basically already knows the way to my heart.
Don’t let those piercing eyes fool you, she is as sweet as they come! Always positive and excited, Nicky is a breath of fresh air! Kat is the definition of a fan girl. Whether it’s a musical, an actor, or anything remotely Harry Potter related, her life is immediately made. I’m really looking forward to going to Harry Potter world with this one...especially since I haven’t been since they added Diagon Alley!!
If there is a quality all my roommates have above all others, it’s kindness...and this girl is a prime example. I can’t wait to meet her Sunday night and give her ALL the hugs! Plus, I’m kind of obsessed with her gorgeous curly hair.
And last but certainly not least, this is Elizabeth!
This rockin singer is also a huge nerd, and in the BEST WAY POSSIBLE! But among all the fandoms we share, I’ve noticed that she shares a love of Jack Sparrow that may even rival my own. I’m looking forward to hunting down the REAL Johnny Depp in the parks with you and the other girls, Liz!
So those are the girls I will be living with! We are from all over the country (Texas, California, Tennessee, Virginia, Indiana, and New Jersey)! Yes there are going to be quite a lot of us, but with all our different schedules, it will actually probably be difficult to find time where all of us can hang out together after the first week. Nonetheless, I am looking forward to roommate bonding time at the parks, Universal, Downtown Disney, Orlando in general, and movie marathons/wine nights at the apartment. MOUSEMATES FO LYFE.
