i love how taylor strips down the chorus of paper rings towards the end of the song. the whole song is shiny and filled with production and instruments and sound but then she just strips it down and its like “hey i love u and i want you” and that’s exactly what the song is about. fancy and complex is nice but intimacy, honesty and simplicity is just as good, if not better.
