Aladdin looked down to see a familiar face. âOneesan! Itâs been a while. Iâve been well, I have been training a lot. How about you?â
"Training? That's wonderful!" Hakuei was surprised to hear that the little one was training, since he was already so powerful before. "Did you get any stronger?
Hakuei enjoyed the fresh ocean breeze touching her face. Then all of the sudden, the breeze picked up, pushing the fabric of her robe against her, and messing up her hair. She looked up to see the little blue haired magi, riding on his magic turban.
"Little one! This is a nice surprise meeting you here. How have you been?"
Sinbad gave the princess a warm smile, âOf course you may stay here, princess!â He nodded. âFor as long as you need. I wouldnât want you to head back without your subordinates getting proper care first.â
Yes, Sinbad nodded and agreed happily with the princess request not because of sympathy for her ill subordinates, but because he thought this would be a perfect opportunity to know more about her. He knew that her younger brother, the fourth prince of the Kou Empire, Hakuryuu, sought out to take control of the Kou Empire. He sought out a civil war. The fourth prince had asked Sinbad for his support and although Sinbad had told him that he would think about it, he actually had no intention of going to war with the Kou Empire. But he wanted to know⊠how the first princess felt about this matter. Was she to support her beloved brother or no? Perhaps she knows more than her brother concerning diplomatic issues of the Kou Empire. Nonetheless, Ren Hakuei could prove to be a most suitable ally.
âSince youâre stayingâI would like an audience with you in the near future concerning these papers you delivered.â He continued, â⊠if thatâs al right with you, princess?â
Sinbad furrowed his brows, âI had heard the emperor was gravely ill, and some rumours that he had passed but nothing official.â He bowed his head slightly, âI, as well as Sindria, are sorry for the Kou Empireâs loss.â He tilted his head and sighed, âIâve met the emperor on several occasions and he was truly a great man.â He slightly narrowed his eyes, âHave they named his successor, yet? Rumours say itâs not Ren Kouen, but Ren Gyokuen?â
"Ahh, thank you very much, your highness."  Hakuei grasped her hands together and bowed to the king, "It means a lot, thank you." The princess acted calm and collected on the outside, but inside she was quite excited. It was true that her subordinates were ill, but she exaggerated the number, just to persuade the king. Her sly effort to persuade the king worked. She wanted to explore this country, there was so many adventures to go on. Hakuei's thoughts was interupted when the king asked for an audience. "Of course, your highness. I also came here to discuss, not just deliver the papers."
"I'm afraid it is true. My father has passed." Hakuei's head lowered as she thought of that particular night, "Thank you, for your blessings. I'm sure the rest of the Kou Empire would appreciate it as well." The princess raised her head and gave the king a warm smile.
"The rumors are true sadly. I know it is my duty, as princess to support my mother, but for some odd reason, I feel like Ren Kouen would be a more suitable Emperor." Hakuei sighed as she gave her confession. She knew that her words would come back and haunt her, but saying what's on her mind felt right. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to say that..."
Drifting Clouds | @Pisti
It was Hakuei's first time visiting Sindria, with permission of the king. This country is so lively. The air felt so fresh with the ocean breeze gently touching her face. She tilted her head up to glance at the floating white clouds. When the princess saw how the clouds drifted off carelessly, it made her wish that she was a cloud. All the political stress was getting to her head. She knew that she had her duties as a princess, but she just wants to take a break.
Hakuei stared at the drifting clouds for a long period of time. As she looked at the clouds, she noticed a dark figure flying closer and closer to her. She didn't know what to expect. Her quick reflexes came and with on swift motion she draw out her flabellum. But, the figure turned out to be a giant white bird. Hakuei noticed a small person riding on top of the animal and she relaxed herself. The small person was just a small child, it amazed her! Such a small person riding a majestic bird, this girl must be very skilled.
"Hello, my name is Ren Hakuei, 1st princess of the Kou Empire." Hakuei bowed.
Sinbad chuckled, âah, itâs no problem at allâafter all, this is but one of the duties of a King, right?â
He took the stack of papers that the princess handed him and placed then on his desk. It would appear he wouldnât get any sleep tonight, he slightly sighed at the thought. He quickly replaced his bereaved look with a smile, then turned back to face the princess. âThank you very much for taking the time to deliver these treaties to me princess, I am truly grateful.â He bowed once more.
âHow fares the emperor?â He stood stood from his bow, a more serious look appearing on his face. âI had heard he was ill.â
"It was no problem, your highness." The princess hid her pain with a smile. The journey was actually quite difficult. Traveling over seas, just to deliver some papers. Hakuei wanted to make her stay her worthwhile, "Your highness, if it doesn't bother you, some of my subordinates are sick from the journey here. As princess of the Kou Empire, I am asking the King of Sindria for permission to reside here until my subordinates are well again."
Hakuei was hesitant to ask, but she knew that she had too. Besides, the princess can't resist the urge to explore this new land. This was her first time visiting this country, and she is very satisfied on what she has seen so far.
Hakuei jumped in shock when he heard what the king asked. "You haven't heard about it yet?" The bad memories were already making her tear up, but she bit her lip to prevent it. "The Emperor... passed away a couple years ago..."
Sinbad looked up from his papers upon hearing a sound near his door. He tilted his head, âRen HakueiâŠâ he thought.
Ren Hakuei; The first princess of the Kou Empire and one of their illustrious dungeon capturers. He knew that the Kou Empire planned on sending a representative to discuss the treaty, however he never expected the Emperor to send the first princess. He narrowed his eyesâthere had to be some other motive behind this.
Nonetheless, he put on a warm smile and got up from his seat. âI had expected the emperor to send some one else as his representative, a manâbut instead I see that Iâm to discuss politics with a beautiful young womanâŠâ He bowed in response to her presence, âit is an honour to finally meet you, princess.â
The princess lifted her head up saw the king giving her a bright smile. She frowned a little bit when she heard his compliment. She heard rumors about the king of Sindria and how he was well with women. She knew that her cousin, Ren Kougyoku, fell for the king.
"It is an honor to meet you as well." Hakuei took out a stack of wrinkled paper out from her bag, "I see you are already drowned with paperwork. I'm sorry to say I have more for you."
The princess couldn't help but smile at the King's reaction when she gave him the stack. She could tell that the king was a lazy king, but she didn't mind, since she understands the tiring and difficult role of being part of royalty.
Sinbad scratched the back of his head. âI should probably finish signing these papers⊠but Iâm just too tired.â He yawned and stretched out his arms, âIâm sure Jaâfar wouldnât mind if I took a napâŠâ
He thought long and hard about what he had just said. ââŠâ
âI may regret making this choice.â
Hakuei hesitated to knock on the wooden door. She knew who was on the other side, and that was why she was so nervous to knock. On the other side of the door was one of the most powerful figures in the whole world. He is the person that captured 7 dungeons, he was Sinbad of the Seven Seas. The princess took a deep breath and pushed on the door lightly.
"Sorry to intrude. My name is Ren Hakuei, the 1st princess of the Kou Empire. I have come to discuss about treaty between Sindria and the Kou Empire." Hakuei bowed her head and greated the king, avoiding eye contact.

"Visit?" Hakuei lowered her head and sighed with nostalgia, she knew exactly where she wanted to be at this moment. She wanted to be with her beloved brother, but the fact that she couldn't be with him at the moment pained her. Well she didn't want to answer the question with negativity.
"I would like to visit the Tenzan Plateau again." Hakuei smiled, "Riding my horse in the open plains would be nice."
