I'm very, very good at turning babygirls into helpless little bedwetters who need to wear diapers again at night. And no, this wouldn't be the first time it's happened.
You think it won't start happening to you. You think you're *way* too old to start having accidents again. You give me that look, roll your eyes, and just lay there on the bed while I put you into pull-ups, instead of panties, night after night. It's just a fantasy, really. Just playing along, you think with a laugh. "As if."
Until one day, you wake up, confused and groggy, to find a soaking wet pull-up between your legs.
You'll say it's just a fluke. There's no way you *actually* had an honest-to-god accident. You must have used it before bed! Maybe you got up in the middle of the night. Maybe it's just sweat. It's not like you're actually a bedwetter or anything.
Then it happens again. And again.
You'll put up a big fight, of course. It just happened a couple of times! It's not like you actually *need* to wear pull-ups or anything. Can't we skip them this one night, or not bring them over your best friend's house for the sleepover...?
Sorry, baby. I think it's better to be safe than sorry. And I can't risk my girlfriend having an accident on her best friend's mattress.
And here's the thing: once you start having accidents at night again, it's hard to put that genie back in the bottle. Week after week, the wet nights will just get more and more frequent, as you start to subconsciously rely on the pull-ups I put you in every night. Your nighttime control just gets worse and worse, and the pull-ups I put you in become thicker and thicker. Until one day: "Sorry hun, I think best if we put you back in diapers at night. It's not like you can control it anymore, huh?"
I've seen it before. What can I say?
