As soon as I saw the raptors, I remembered that Mark wouldn't get attacked by them because he made them (plus the joke about them being his kids because they are alike with their reptilian characteristics). Then I saw the egg incubator/where they put the eggs before it hatches and I remembered that the first generation dinosaurs didn't survive because Wardo wasn't there. (T___T) then they had to make do with Wardo's shirt because the real Wardo wasn't there to provide affection.

but more importantly, I feel: why do I find this outfit so hot? it is actually super weird. he is wearing a proper white shirt and tie, but with a short sleeved sweatshirt over the top of it. the shirt sleeves are rolled up to match the already short sleeves of the sweatshirt. no part of the sweatshirt is rolled up. it obviously doesn’t work with the collar and the tie - not merely looking weird, but that looks like it would be at least a little uncomfortable. the fact he’s wearing a tie at all makes this like, the most formal outfit he wears the whole movie iirc. so where did the ridic jumper come in? who dressed him this morning? why did he let them make him wear a tie? is this a really well thought out outfit or a hot mess or a rebellious attempt to screw up an otherwise normal suit? did he spill coffee down himself and the mauve sweatshirt is thrown on over the top because it is literally the only real shirt he owns? is the sweatshirt important, and so the shirt is modified to suit it better by rolling the sleeves.

I just. what is going on here.

if you decide to throw a sweatshirt on over a shirt why wouldn’t you take your damn tie off? he doesn’t even want to be wearing the tie, no he has a legit reason to take it off. but. he. doesn’t. why does he even have a mauve short sleeved sweatshirt? why would anyone have a mauve short sleeved sweatshirt. who looked at a sweatshirt and thought I want this with short sleeves, in mauve.

why did he roll his shirt sleeves quite so high - above the elbow - if not to match the length of the sweatshirt. somebody else probably had to do that for him. it is tricky to do that to yourself while you are wearing the shirt, so either he had help from someone - WHY WHY WOULD YOU HELP WITH THIS - or, even more weirdly, did he plan this? did he plan this outfit? did he meticulously figure out how high to role the sleeves and do it himself while the shirt was off, and then get dressed? this is a colour blind dude who wears tshirts and shorts and hoodies and those weird american flip-flops-that-aren’t-really-really-flip-flops.

is this a real outfit that actual mark wore one time???

ok so to add to this great discussion train~ so i mean clearly it's a slap in the face metaphor costume -tee/sweater over a business suit to show that though mark may look slob student casual...he has a core of ruthless businessman steel inside - or that he has become the hard businessman that wardo is always trying to wear ON THE OUTSIDE of his clothing. they're inside out costume reversals of one another. in terms of mark as a character making the sartorial choice, it's one of two things in my mind: a) he got cold and didn't give a fuck what he used as a layer - that shirt/sweater was the first thing he grabbed or the only thing he had to put on. he didn't realise it was sleeveless and then - the rolled sleeves - he got self conscious about the mismatch and DID A THING heheheh b) this is the more likely option: he put on that fancy shirt, and that fancy tie, and then he smiled real small to himself and said "this will tell em fuck em" and he put that tshirt on over the top so it is the MOST important thing, it's in their faces, he's saying fuck u i do what i want even when we're doing business - and never forget that i didn't want to be here, so all the business we do is gonna be on my terms. fuck u. watch me wear this slobby tee. and it was what sean would have done. neva 4get the pajama meeting & the kick he was clearly getting out of it. except mark? he does his own casual clothing fuck yous.
