Lana was happy that summer was finally here and she could take time to just relax and forget about her duties. So this beach party thing was the perfect excuse for her to get out and mingle with the other locals, since she didn’t do it often enough. Getting to beach she set down her stuff and looked all around her smiling this was going to be a nice night, looking over hearing the voice she nodded her head, “Oh it’s the perfect day for the beach, I don’t even mind the crowds.” She laughed softly before “You know as long as I’ve been here I don’t think I’ve ever come to the beach and I think that is going to change this year.”

Oh, it was nice not to be alone.  She’d gotten too used to that, and though it was nice to get to know herself better when she was in unfamiliar situations so far from home, sometimes Daisy felt like she bordered on spending too much time with herself.  “You too, Lana.”  She returned kindly.  “After this year … if some hot water can do that, I may never leave.  I just moved to Stonecastle a few months ago, but maybe I’d move here while I’ve still got some things in boxes anyway.  God, can you imagine being in a place like this all year ‘round?  It’s beautiful.”  She paused.  “Sorry, I’m rambling on.  Just a bit excited, I think.”

Lana spent most of her time either in the halls of the high school or with Jen so she didn’t get much time to speak to adults, well sober adults that is. Looking over at the younger girl someone she wasn’t sure that she saw her around before. Laughing at her comment Lana’s hand moved up to push through her hair smiling, “I take it a bad year? Well that will soon be over and a new fresh start will come about.” She commented before closing her small little book so she could give her undivided attention, “I think I would get tired of it after a while especially the tourist.” She commented even though she herself was a bit of tourist at the moment. “No need to apologize in my job I listen to a lot of rambles.”

She sensed someone nearing her, Daisy turning just as the other woman spoke.  Her gaze dropped down to the paper in her hands, wishing she’d had the thought to plan ahead.  Maybe she was getting too used to being spontaneous these days.  “Well then, I suppose that settles it — I’m in.”  She agreed with an easy smile.  “I’m Daisy, by the way.  I’ve never been to a hot spring, so I’ll follow your lead … I honestly hope I melt in there, it sounds so good.”

Lana smiled as she glanced once more at the younger woman, she knew all to well how it was just want to take life and just run with it. She was too old for all that now, or at least she felt she was too old for all that, she liked to have order perhaps it was the years of being a principle. “Perfect, those things are a lot of fun with company.” She laughed remembering her first time and how she almost fell asleep in the water. “Nice to meet you Daisy, I’m Lana. Oh they are wonderful and trust me you will melt into the water and become the most relaxed you have ever been.”

“I’m here, but …”  She trailed, her eyes darting around indecisively.  “I can’t decide if I want to go ice skating first, or walk through the town … or do I want to sit in the springs, or by the fire …”  Daisy huffed at herself, though she was happy that of all things, these were her difficult decisions these days.  “It’s literally too cold to think, I love it.”

Lana walked up next to the female a itinerary of her own open in her hands as her eyes scanned over the pages looking at all the things that there was to do there and frankly the first thing she was going to do was hit the hot springs. “Well if you time yourself right you can do it all but I myself am dying to try out those hot springs, I’ve gone to one in my life time and it was the best experience to have.” She stated with a small chuckle before eyes looked at the female, “Care to join me?”

It’s supposed to start snowing in the next few days and I desperately need to get out and have a good time before it’s far too cold to leave the safety of my warm house. Any one have any good suggestions?

Do you have any particular things you like to do? There are a lot of places around this town but it all depends on what you like to do. Though this place is beautiful in the snow so I would suggest exploring in the snow as well.

Well I would have to say three days ago. I can’t remember what it was but I think it was just one of those viral videos about animals.

Stonecastle is a much need breath of fresh air compared to most towns. Oh I can’t wait to see decorations up and watching as everything gets progressively more magical looking. Well if you are any good with decorating once it gets closer to Christmas I would love some help getting the high school looking more magical for the kids.

I am so excited for my move to Stonecastle, it’s been so refreshing to move here. So different from where I was living now. I love my job as well, it’s great. But the real question is who’s excited for the holidays? I’m so ready to bring them on.
