I re-did this thing I drew in 2016 because Les Mis just hit me in the feels once again a short while ago. 

Here we see Death - from the Austrian Musical Elisabeth - at the barricade, together with Enjolras. Enj is not quite ready to die yet, but as you see it’s morning… So Death won’t have to wait for too long. Instead of taking any of Death’s (interesting) outfits from the muscial, I tried to create a more 1830s-ish look for him… I hope that worked. 

The whole thing was inspired by a video a German Les Mis cast did at some point - since the actors were also in Elisabeth, they sang “Die Schatten werden länger” in their costumes from Les Mis.

This is the Les Mis version And this is a standard version of the song

Because I just can’t draw Johann happy. I couldn’t really decide which colour scheme I liked better, so... here’s both?

Kleist war im ganzen Buch eine meine Lieblingsfiguren - Action-Kleist war also nur eine Frage der Zeit.

Day 4: Favourite Fairytale I like a lot of fairytales, but my favourite has to be Cinderella. The old, bloody version, because my grandma doesn't think much of PG fairytales.

Happy super belated birthday to my beloved Frederick-kun, @enjol-ace.

I decided to draw your pretty sons, Karl and Johann, because I just want them to be happy damnit, but when it comes to your stories, that’s never the case, dear Satan.

But yeah, there’s problems with our local post so you’ll have to wait a little longer for your present. Real sorry about that but it’ll be worth it I swear!

Keeping up with the Hohenzollerns Part 5

Look what’s back! After months!

Sooo after the Prince of Prussia, Augustus William, died in 1758, Henry was feeling pretty down. He blamed Frederick for Augustus’ death and wasn’t completely wrong… I mean, Augustus died of a blood clot clogging veins in his brain, but he had been pretty depressed ever since Frederick had yelled at him in front of the entire army and wouldn’t see any professional.

Frederick, being the non-egocentric, kind person he was, wrote a letter to Henry which basically read: “I know you’re sad, but think of me! Also do your duties and stuff.”

Henry himself said that “the poison of hate against Frederick” was eating him from the inside.

What a wonderful family.

Neues Deutsches Orchester; ca. 1899 Gefunden im Nachlass von Frau Anna Sofia Falk

@hadestentia A group picture of the most important people of the orchestra! Finally! 

I didn’t know whether I should post it with or without the writing, so I did both. The writing is in hell cursive Kurrent, so it may be hard to read.

I guess the writing was done by either Gustav or Albert a few years after the picture was taken.
