I just thought of this line that would be so cool in a romantic and dramatic coming of age movie.
Okie so, the MC would be bisexual, and she would have this lesbian girlfriend in college. Unfortunately,, the MC’s mom wouldn’t be accepting, and the two would elope partially through the movie. AND THE NEXT TIME THE MOM SEES THE COUPLE,, LESBIAN WIFE WOULD BE ALL “See? I’m not a phase, mom. Hahaha”
Sad Soul mate AU idea
Soul mate universe where people are colorblind until they make eye contact with their soul mate.
OK. Been done before.
Then the color leaves again when their soul mate dies.
Also been done.
But imagine a hitman, a mercenary, a serial killer, delivering a fatal (but not immediate) blow to their target and just as it lands, they make eye contact.
Colors, beautiful and vivid flood their vision. And maybe they thought that they’d never find their soul mate, that maybe he or she didn’t even exist. But here is their perfect other half, the person who brought COLOR to their bleak world.
Joy, warm and bright, blinds them for a moment. For just a few seconds, they are the happiest they’ve ever been, surrounded by this new world full of endless possibilities and colors. And love, love for this unknown person who could- WOULD complete them.
And then… the colors start fading away, slowly.
They look around in confused panic until their eyes land back on that body, surrounded by a growing pool of blood… their soul mate is dying. Because of them. THEY did this. The thought is jarring; it is nearly inconceivable to them to want to hurt their own soul mate. But the hurt has already been done; there is no fixing this.
They try anyway.
But the grey scale seeps back into their vision at the same rate that the blood escapes their other half’s limp form. The redness of that blood is the final bit of color that they see before the world is empty once more.
Just think about it.
