I think I’ve eaten my weight in sweets this holiday.
...call me crazy but I don't think that's physically possible.
I’ll be twenty-two in February. That’s not too long is it? Or is it? I have no clue actually. I’m sure it will be. You have to have faith. Or at least be willing to settle down before it is. Though I hate that term. It is like saying you can’t do cool things when you are married and a mom. Which I don’t believe. You can adopt. Adoption is beautiful.
Mine came from a mixture of my mother, my brother and my friends.
Oh, huh so we've got about...four or five years between us? I'm terrible at math but I think it's one of the two. I'll try to, honestly I'm a big romantic I think it kinda comes with the whole writer territory but I'm not a likeable person. And I get off on the wrong foot with guys for the most part, but I don't regret it because it's usually just because all the ones I meet are dicks or boring as hell. I agree, settling down it's like? I know it's supposed to be a happy ending but it's really just a way for people to tell you what you can or can't do. I guess, but I don't feel like I want to adopt without a partner, single parents are brilliant but I'm not cool or mature enough to ever handle kids by myself.
Ah, that must've been quite the range then.
That’s so true. Either people idealize it to no end or they demonize everything. And there’s definitely things about both sides that are true, but they’re both huge extremes. Obviously it’s a good thing to be ready for for the worst, but that also applies to any field someone may go into. There’s benefits and there’s disadvantages with everything in the world, and that’s what people have to be aware of and ready for. But I think that if you’re enjoying yourself then that’s a huge importance to any kind of career here. A lot of people aren’t going to be “successful” in the sense that they become a household name, but as long as you’re doing something you love, it doesn’t matter if you become a huge celebrity. That doesn’t necessarily equate success— there’s how many one-hit wonders out there that are trying to coast off of a single success that didn’t last? That’s a really good point, I mean if you can make someone laugh you’ve got at least a small in with them, which is a plus. You would give the Avengers a run for their money, “The Human Disaster” would sell so many comics, shows, and movies. It’ll be simultaneously the biggest success as well as the biggest catastrophe the world has ever seen.
Writing is such an underrated skill too. I mean I remember teachers that I had telling me and other students how writing for a career was such an easy way out, which is such bullshit. I you’re doing any kind of creative writing for a mass audience it’s difficult. There’s so much to do to create a good piece of fiction, and people take it for granted. I admire anyone who puts themselves out there and tries to express themselves, but it’s also really important that if you’re trying to put out that piece of work that it should actually be enjoyable, relatable in some way, and fully fleshed out. I mean I suppose the people writing Adam Sandler’s films have made a decent living on unfunny crap films that have no real plot to them.
An episode review section would be so cool, but I would imagine it would be so time consuming. DVD boxsets are way too expensive for my blood, so I hope people will start donating some to you. If they know what’s good for them they will; this is their future leader they’re donating to after all. You’re so nice, oh my God. Seriously, your blog sounds amazing, and I’m sure there’s been people who come to it after hearing negative things and realize how right you are. I doubt I’m smarter than you; I once thought that eating my dinner while I was showering would be a great time saver— I don’t think I have to tell you how that went. Ugh, Inception was such a crappy movie. I remember hearing how great it was, and I was so excited for it, but I couldn’t stand it. But it was all over, and people kept talking about how intense and amazing it was. But it was so underwhelming and felt so half-assed when it came to the plot and writing of it. Is he dreaming or isn’t he? Better question: why did I waste two and a half hours on this movie? But I will admit, Opinionception could possibly make a worse movie than Inception. I know exactly what you mean! I have had that problem many times, but I think that as long as it’s well written, there’s not as much of an issue. Like, seeing a equally weighted relationship is so important, and as long as the “villain” isn’t actually harmful in the relationship, there’s not a big problem with it. I’m honestly all for men worshipping women in theory, but I know so many guys who go on and on about how much they love and appreciate women, and just how perfect and gorgeous women are, and it skeeves me out so much. Men are just kind of… gross. You totally should write more, I’d love to be able to point to all the wonderful projects you’ll come out with and be able to say “I talked about shoe umbrellas, and had a really incredible discussion with her about how awful movies are.” Our conversation was so intense I actually forgot that there we were never properly introduced— I’m Billie.
Yeah I definitely agree, I think there's so many different definitions for success even within capitalism that everyone who thinks otherwise is doing themselves a disservice. It's not just about titles, cars, and networths. That said the film industry kind of is about what you've got in your pocket and if you knowing how to drive a car is all that relevant because chauffeurs and all that. It's such a tragedy that people aren't allowed to pursue what we care about but I think some of that could be fixed simply by a change of attitude. And while I'm one to talk I think it makes sense. Nobody's going to enjoy busing tables if they're being paid too little and given no respect, that's ridiculous. People crave jobs that don't feel like work, either because we like what we're doing or we're CEOs who don't have to work because our work does itself for us. People are a lot more humble everywhere else, and by humble I mean they see where they are in life and they learn to make something of it. And I know I'm not one of those people who can do that, not by a long shot. Thanks, the Human Disaster isn't a threat that can be neutralized it's all go big or go home and it ain't going home. Especially not without picking up my pay check.
That is crap, even writing that isn't creative is hard as fuck. If not harder. Copy writing or copy editing I hear is very challenging and simultaneously mind-numbing stuff. I agree though there is stuff out there that I'm willing to say anyone could write, especially a lot of film sequels but to generalize would be a bit...ridiculous. Everyone thinks they're a writer and it's just, eh, it's dumb.
Thanks, I think I might actually do that now! I hope so, besides maybe they'll send me extras so I can do a giveaway or better yet send me stuff I've already watched so I can finally have the DVD sets for like Lost and Doctor Who. I'm not sure if I actually have good taste in shows, I feel like I'm prone to having very crap taste with a few exceptions, at least I'm self aware though. Awww that's really sweet of you just about nobody calls me nice so that's like a huge compliment for me. I'm normally either an evil bitch or something, friends and stuff aren't really my forte. Oh my gosh yeah I can guess, that's too bad though that sounds like something I would do. I've done loads of stupid shit, it's worse though when you do it alone cause you don't have the excuse of showing off or trying to act cool. It's just like 'my brain thought of this thing, and I was dumb enough to fall for it'. Oh well that's life I guess. Thank you! Inception is like, the nerd boy worship movie. I think teenage boys gravitate towards it. Or stoners? Like, it's the kind of movie that you can sort of theorize about for hours and you'll never really come up with anything smart to say about it. I don't even really remember the character's names, I couldn't bring myself to watch it more than once. It's too bad though, I did like the cast. But like dreams within dreams within dreams like all I really needed was Cillian Murphy and Ellen Paige just like, sitting down talking for it to be a good movie. And also, what was the point really. Leo still didn't get a damn Oscar. Wait. One moment. I just realized, I beat fucking Leonardo Di Caprio to an Oscar. Holy fuck balls. I'm not gonna be over this at all, ever. I'm freaking out. Honestly. Thank you, I think men who worship women by instinct are better than the fuckers who just sorta do it because they've got an agenda. I think my issue is that men often have agendas, and that's not to say that the rest of the planet hasn't got one but men are never nice about theirs. That's what kinda scares me. Or pisses me off, depends on the circumstances. I will, I'll dedicate something to you. Is that crazy? That's probably ridiculous but I'll do it anyway. Right. Wow this is embarrassing, it's lovely to meet you Billie. I'm Priss, or did I say that already?

I’m giving myself within ten years to have a child. I think that’s fairly reasonable. It gives me time to get my career on track, settle down and get married. Because I agree with you that I want to be married before having a child.
"Momma didn’t raise a fool for sure. Sure I can be naive but…not a fool.
Oh ten years? If you don't mind me asking how old are you? I've sort of come to the conclusion that my career will never be on track and I'll probably never get married, so eh children might be out of the question. Or I can like adopt one last minute, I guess?
Same here, though my sex ed came from the internet.
I would hope so. Hopefully everything goes in my favor and I’ll be hearing from someplace real soon.
Oh, you're out of work? That's horrible. I've got er, connections, so if you ever want to like...I dunno use them I'd be okay with that.
I’ve never heard of either of those things, if I’m being completely and totally honest… But, I’ll definitely look into them! Thanks for the help.
Yeah definitely do that. I was-- am a big follower of astrology, like I know it's not real but it's spot on. The universe is full of little mysteries. You're welcome, I'm glad I'm useful half the time.
Oh definitely. The first as in your first suggestion.
Exactly. Plus I’m not even twenty-two and I have one semester left before I graduate from fashion school so…I definitely do not need to be getting pregnant right now. Not to mention my boyfriend would probably pass out. And have a heart attack. And die. Don’t worry. Condoms and the pill all the way for me.
Yeah good point you're way younger than me and I haven't considered kids at all. That isn't to say that I'm not impressed by people younger than me with kids, there's certainly a fertility gap that people seem to be forgetting about but. Eh, I think I'd want to be married when having a kid just for the sake of the financial and maybe emotional side of it.
Also men are terrified of babies I think. The pregnancy card is definitely not the best one to pull. I hear it rarely ends well. It's good to hear that you've got it figured out though!
I don’t think I could survive without coffee, even though I’m not a huge fan of the taste. Refreshing; I find it refreshing.
Hmm, yup. Definitely has it’s perks… and it’s downsides.
Oh refreshing, huh, I can't say I've heard coffee described that way before. Not that that's a bad thing. But yeah, your job certainly sounds high stress.
Oh downsides like late hours? Or downsides like Grey's Anatomy cluterfucks? Erm, assuming you've watched that.
Yeah she’s a month old. Give or take a day. I’m hoping it’s the first though…you never know. Plus it’s a natural form of birth control…not that I need it. I mean, I do. I mean…wow shutting up now.
Oh whoa, she must be tiny still. The first as in?
No no you're totally right, nothing makes you want to have kids less than infants. I mean, sure babies have a physical toll on your body via pregnancy but the frantic look in a new mom's eyes. That's scary. That said I think a more practical form of birth control would be condoms as opposed to say the fear of god.
When it comes to coffee I’m a stress drinker. Haven’t had any for a couple hours, though, so I think I’ll be good. I’ll crash whenever I do - I’ve got tomorrow off, anyway.
Well, I am a doctor, so I know what’ll kill me, and what won’t.
Oh, huh. I don't actually drink any coffee, I guess mostly because of the taste. I figured I'd grow into it but nope, never did. My teeth probably thank me. Ah, okay that makes sense.
You're a doctor? That's awesome, I mean cool and by cool I mean useful. Yeah, you've definitely got it covered.
I honestly don’t even know. I think all the coffee still has me on hyper drive.
Coffee is the exact opposite of what you need right now yeesh. Maybe you should just try and sleep it off, eventually the caffeine's gonna get less potent and you can either crash in bed or crash on the ground.
Mind you, I'm not a doctor or interested in telling you have to live your life.

I mean like... hear me out here but. Fences they like keep things out right, but they also protect people on the outside from seeing things. Also I find the whole shirtless dude thing annoying. It's like who gave you the right?
Well, I hope it all works out in your favor. There’s actually plenty jobs out there for us engineers, I guess I’m just rather picky about what it is I want to do.
Thanks. I never realized you could afford to be picky in the first place, I mean being an engineering major seems to lend itself to, well, engineering. That said being able to be picky isn't a bad thing, it usually means you're in a good place.
And astrology should lead me to what I’m destined to do with my life, then?
Yeah, definitely. Just do your natal chart first and make sure to include your specifics, then do your draconic.
Bought my plane tickets. Leaving for Michigan on the third and will be back on the seventh. I’m very excited to go see my brother, his wife and their new baby.
Oh, huh new baby huh? That'll either be really fun and insightful or a nightmare. Cause y'know, babies.
That’s the last time I’m doing a 24 hour shift for a long time.
That sounds like hell, how are you even still awake?
