Why would someone want to see me shirtless..?
Well, objectively speaking, you have what many may consider a "nice bod". Maybe someone noticed and they're planning a huge conspiracy to get rid of all your clothes.

Part 2: Growing Up
It’s a natural human trait to be curious, you’re fine.
I hope that whatever that long story entails, everything turns out for the best. For your sake, and the relationships you have as well.
It’s a long story.
Ah, well, that's your business and definitely not my place to pry. Sorry if I overstepped my bounds there.

There should be at least a warning sign about man-eating fences if nothing else.
Oh, I totally agree. They have those "Beware of dog" signs, I think it'd be far more useful to put up "Beware of Man-eating fence" signs. Though, it's possible that the person who put in the fence just wanted to see you shirtless.
My father is in the military — I’m always excited to see him. It’s just the first time that my father and my boyfriend have been in the same room for a while.
That's understandable— being excited to see him, then. I can't really blame you or anyone else for being excited to see their family, it's just me. I take it that that was kind of an awkward situation. Is he cool with you and your boyfriend or—?

Who the hell thought it’s a good idea to put a fence there so it can get stuck on people’s clothes and ruin them..
Obviously the people who put it in were planning a malicious attack specifically against you and your clothing. Ought to be more aware of your surroundings, you never know when the man-eating fences will make their move.
Then I guess you wouldn’t be living out the story. I don’t think you would ruin the story — I’d probably be the general population when they moan and grown about their presents being stolen.
Solid point. I'd be living the story of "How the Bitter Bitch Stole Christmas and Laughed" which isn't quite as catchy as the original. I swear I am not as mean as I sound right now, I just like the idea of no "family" holidays. Too much stress, too much pressure, too much drama and repressed shit.
I think it’s sort of represented as the worst thing ever or the best. Like, you either see the award winning actors or the ones who crash and burn. People on the outside, or whatever you want to call them think the worst of us. We’re crazy, greedy, untalented, snobs who needs to grow up and pay the mortgages we probably don’t have because most of us can’t afford to own a house. But some of us do kind of well and I guess I enjoy what I’m doing. That does come as a relief though, just crack a few jokes and people will find you likeable. I mean don’t get me wrong you’re one of the most likeable people I’ve ever met but I think crowds sort of give a different take on you. Like me, I’m a proud self-titled human disaster. If I ever became a superhero I’d be ‘human disaster’ the Avengers would have to suck it. Shoe umbrellas sounds perfect, it deserves its’ own hour long infomercial and it’s a lot less creepy than shoe mirrors.
Oh yeah, writing is all sorts of interesting and I think I want y’know kids to be inspired and keep writing but… I guess it’s just it’s not one of those things people grow into with age a lot of the time. Cause normally it ends up being memoirs and that’s just so sloppy and weird. I don’t even really know what to say on the topic, I don’t really read those.
Right, so many new shoes out there that are breaking barriers. Are they doing enough? Not necessarily but they’re trying and I think that does count. I’m trying to work an episode review section into my blog which might just kill me with the scheduling but it’s an excuse to get people to buy me dvd box sets because who actually wants to invest in those things? Not me, anyway. Thank you though I’d actually be really honored if you checked it out. Most of the time people read my blog because their friend was like ‘hey this annoying bitch on the internet said Inception sucked, in great detail using words I don’t understand’ and that’s just not good press. It’s such a bad vibe. You’re really smart, probably way smarter than me so it’d be a real treat to get your opinion on my opinions. Opinionception…talk about a bad movie. I’m sort of digging that villain turned love interest trope and I’m kind of kicking myself for liking something so, iffy and potentially problematic. But most of the time it’s been done well because I feel like normally the two characters feel more equal than one it’s like some good angsty dude? Besides they normally end up like worshiping the main character and while I find worshiping of main characters tacky I fully support men worshiping women a little bit, like not misandry but…I think you get my point. Thanks. I do feel good, I kind of want to write more right now. You’re like my random stranger muse person, I’m getting that a lot in LA it’s kind of troubling.
That's so true. Either people idealize it to no end or they demonize everything. And there's definitely things about both sides that are true, but they're both huge extremes. Obviously it's a good thing to be ready for for the worst, but that also applies to any field someone may go into. There's benefits and there's disadvantages with everything in the world, and that's what people have to be aware of and ready for. But I think that if you're enjoying yourself then that's a huge importance to any kind of career here. A lot of people aren't going to be "successful" in the sense that they become a household name, but as long as you're doing something you love, it doesn't matter if you become a huge celebrity. That doesn't necessarily equate success— there's how many one-hit wonders out there that are trying to coast off of a single success that didn't last? That's a really good point, I mean if you can make someone laugh you've got at least a small in with them, which is a plus. You would give the Avengers a run for their money, "The Human Disaster" would sell so many comics, shows, and movies. It'll be simultaneously the biggest success as well as the biggest catastrophe the world has ever seen.
Writing is such an underrated skill too. I mean I remember teachers that I had telling me and other students how writing for a career was such an easy way out, which is such bullshit. I you're doing any kind of creative writing for a mass audience it's difficult. There's so much to do to create a good piece of fiction, and people take it for granted. I admire anyone who puts themselves out there and tries to express themselves, but it's also really important that if you're trying to put out that piece of work that it should actually be enjoyable, relatable in some way, and fully fleshed out. I mean I suppose the people writing Adam Sandler's films have made a decent living on unfunny crap films that have no real plot to them.
An episode review section would be so cool, but I would imagine it would be so time consuming. DVD boxsets are way too expensive for my blood, so I hope people will start donating some to you. If they know what's good for them they will; this is their future leader they're donating to after all. You're so nice, oh my God. Seriously, your blog sounds amazing, and I'm sure there's been people who come to it after hearing negative things and realize how right you are. I doubt I'm smarter than you; I once thought that eating my dinner while I was showering would be a great time saver— I don't think I have to tell you how that went. Ugh, Inception was such a crappy movie. I remember hearing how great it was, and I was so excited for it, but I couldn't stand it. But it was all over, and people kept talking about how intense and amazing it was. But it was so underwhelming and felt so half-assed when it came to the plot and writing of it. Is he dreaming or isn't he? Better question: why did I waste two and a half hours on this movie? But I will admit, Opinionception could possibly make a worse movie than Inception. I know exactly what you mean! I have had that problem many times, but I think that as long as it's well written, there's not as much of an issue. Like, seeing a equally weighted relationship is so important, and as long as the "villain" isn't actually harmful in the relationship, there's not a big problem with it. I'm honestly all for men worshipping women in theory, but I know so many guys who go on and on about how much they love and appreciate women, and just how perfect and gorgeous women are, and it skeeves me out so much. Men are just kind of... gross. You totally should write more, I'd love to be able to point to all the wonderful projects you'll come out with and be able to say "I talked about shoe umbrellas, and had a really incredible discussion with her about how awful movies are." Our conversation was so intense I actually forgot that there we were never properly introduced— I'm Billie.
Shouldn’t really be surprising. If you think about it, it was a religious holiday that was turned into a marketing day. Think about Valentines Day and Halloween — nobody really knows the origin of those holidays.
Ah, yes, Capitalism strikes again. I just get so disgusted by the holidays, honestly. It's times like these I wish I could actually live out the plot of How the Grinch Stole Christmas. The only key difference is I wouldn't feel touched by the Whos keeping their Christmas cheer.
People probably have to convince themselves with every rude comment or snide action, they can fix with the holidays. Plus, companies make a good profit off of it.
There is so much I absolutely do not understand about people. Their ability to take a supposedly positive thing and let it twist them into ruthless, cruel creatures confuses the hell out of me. I just wish it didn't ruin it for everyone else though.
It sucks. Holidays always brought out the worst in people. I thought I was going to die last week when this last had a one man stampede for the frozen turkeys.
That sounds fucking awful— oh my god. That is the main reason why I'm grateful that I only had to cook for myself this year. People are the absolute worst during the holidays, despite everything else that people say.
jaysaner:
If you count ignoring everything that happened — sure. We’ll go with that.
That's exactly what I mean. Because what's a holiday without repressed memories and pushing your feelings so deep down that no one can ever find them? Honestly, I haven't had a holiday that I didn't do that since I was a child.
It’s a long story, but it’s done and over. Same with you — so we’re pretty much home free.
Very true. It'd be good to move on, right? Celebrate actually making it through the holiday all life and limbs intact and accounted for.
Yeah, sorry about yours too.
I have a feeling our holidays had a bit of difference with dealing with family this year, but I appreciate the sentiment.
Just family drama.
Mm, something I'm very well-versed in. Sucks, though. Sorry you had to deal with it.
Didn’t think I was.
Now is your anti-holiday Grinchiness due to specific reasons that you care to share with the class or is it just a general distaste for cheer?
