House of Mirrors || Lee & Haku
Lee squinted his one eye, looking at the little hand smudges that patterned panes.
“Oh wow… I didn’t see those before!”
He smiled, happy to know this new little trick. Haku seemed to be a pretty intelligent person! More wise than Lee at least, who was too dumb to even make his way through a child’s obstacle course.
Haku made it seem easy…
The black haired boy proceeded to follow haku through the maze, astonished when he finally caught sight of the exit.
“It’s like a miracle!”
Another lilting laugh left his lips.
“They’re hard to miss when you’re focusing so hard on yourself, but I suppose relying on another’s mistakes might be considered cheating... in a sense... I like to think of it as being observant.”
Haku maintained a pleasant smile as he looked back at Lee for a moment before continuing their way through the maze.
They were out within moments, the effeminate male leading him through with ease. Some of it was observation, but a lot of it was intuition, he simply lacked the ability to explain that bit, but Lee seemed like he’d catch on regardless.
“Nice to be in the fresh air, isn’t it?”
It was a little stuffy within the maze, after all.
