when you feel it, you'll know what you were waiting for this whole time. twisted in jagged angles you never spoke. fragile headlights on a busted car. put out the lights

the funeral birds all know me by name and when i run through the tombstones they let me go by

hollow victories? as if there are any other kind.

i spent twenty years trying to be original now i'll try being myself

i can only paint what i see and i can't look away from the mirror

i said things i forgot them and when i remember them do i wish i hadn't?

i want to go on forever but not like this

the days we burnt - are they really missing?

cracks aches pains say you’re alive

Pull your head

out of the ground

and blink

away the dirt.

we shake through trees and down city scenes that highlight the homes we're escaping

rattlesnake hybrids emerge from desolate plains speaking shark-tooth wisdoms for the eager headspace you devour

knowing what you’re chasing isn’t finding  it but maybe it’s close
