She sighed heavily through her nose. “Tryin’ ta get some fresh air. Out ah de… negative. It is toxic.” She finished shortly, shuffling her deck of cards.
"Well I can agree to that, nothing like fresh air." Clio said nodding her head. "Can I sit with you?" She added
"You are in my light. Budge ova t’ree feet. Or betta yet, go away."
Oh I'm sorry suga! I didn't even notice you there! What are you doing down there any ways?
"Um tea please, with a lemon. This must be your first day here itsn’t suga?"
"Something like that, I’m a relatively new face compared to the other waiting staff." Faline replied before smiling, "Would you like some more time to think about your order?"
"I can see that......" Clio said nodding her head to the young woman."Oh no, just tea please. It's good for my voice, plus I'm not really that hungry... but maybe I'll take a small order of fries..."
"Well I’m just completely out of the loop anybody want to help a girl out?"
"What loop are you out of?"
"Oh you know, just the usual hustle and bustle. I fee like I've been living under a rock or somethin'"

“I don’t know what you mean by out of the loop, but I’ll try the best I can to help.”

"I’d help you, but I’m pretty out of it myself." She laughs a little. "That in itself is something I am not used to!"
Clio chuckles, "Well you know what I mean, I just feel like I've been missing something good and exciting! Like I'm the last one to know a good joke. You know what I mean?"
I’m sorry, can you repeat that again? Was it coffee or tea, you wanted?
"Um tea please, with a lemon. This must be your first day here itsn't suga?"

Showtime! - Lottie & Clio
Lottie had managed to blag her way past the security at the side entrance, and was busy weaving her way past frantic looking techies, dodging powder puffs, and ducking microphones as they were thrown around above her. And she was also looking for her room-mate. Clio had invited her to her next show, and boy, was she excited. The clothes! The singing! The night off! She was just beginning to worry that she was cutting it all a bit fine when she spotted her friend sitting in front of one of those make-up tables she thought only existed in the movies.
"Clio! Sugar! I’m here! Oh my lord, ain’t this just incredible!"
"Call time 20 minutes!" A techie said in a frantic voice.
"Thank you 20!" Clio and the rest of her sisters said in unison.
While to the untrained eye the rapid hustle and bustle of backstage may seem like chaos it was organized chaos to Clio. Clio sat in her purple silk robe, her hair in rollers and her eyes closed a make-up artist worked on achieving a smokey eye on the back-up singer.
Clio heard the voice of Lottie and opened in eye, much to the anger of the mark-up artist. "Oh Lottie!" She exclaimed extending her hand in excitment. After shooing away a few security guards and other busy-bodies that followered Powerline. "I'm so happy you could make it suga! I hope secuirty didn't have too much a fuss."
That’s high praise indeed! [Lottie mock curtseys] I just can’t believe you spent 20 straight months with them- I’d have probably strangled someone. That doesn’t mean I’m going to strangle you after spending 20 months together. That probably won’t happen. And now that sounds insulting. Oh dear.
Oooh costumes! I do like a good costume. All my clothes are my costume really, which can be draining. I think I need to downsize a teeny bit! Oh this is going to be just perfect. Say Clio, you don’t mind a little disturbance in the night? I keep odd hours.
Oh trust me there were times I wanted to throw my sisters out onto the highway and keep going! Oh suga' you're fine! I think if I can travel 20 months on the same bus with 5 other people I can surely get along with you!
Oh I have TONS of wonderful dresses and flashy outfits too bad that production wont let me leave the tent wearing them else I'd be the shiniest lady here! As long as you do it quietly I don't mind what you during the night, I'm a pretty good sleeper I learned that being on a bus but as long as you do it in a quiet fashion it won't disturb me.
Ugh, I look terrible today. [she squints at herself in the mirror hanging outside her car, pouting]

You caught me right in the middle of my morning routine- I’m so sorry for the mess. Say, do you mind that I took the bed next to the window?
Honey, I have four other sisters, this [she motions to the mess on the floor] is clean by any standards.
I don’t mind much, like I said any bed is a good for me. I’ve been on a RV for the last 20 months so a room that I split with one person instead of 6 is a welcome res bit. [Clio places the duffel bags that are in her hands on the bed]
Four sisters! I have no siblings so dear lord, I would not be able to survive with four! I have a lot of clothes but I’ll get right on it. Which reminds me-[rushes to grab the clothes all over the second bed] There, all clear for you. Honey, if you’ve been on the road for 20 months, I’m going to make it my purpose to give you a relaxing travel detox!
Sugar, you really don’t have much stuff with you. If you were me, I’d be taking a whole RV just for my things. How do you do it?
Well you're lucky that you are on no where near my size because then we'd have some serious problems [Clio motions to Lottie's wardrobe] Travelin' detox huh? Well you're already a better roommate than all of my sisters. Combined.
[Clio chuckles a little] Oh I have more bags, but most of my clothes that I have are for Powerline's concerts. I don't get to take then out of the dressing room or the stage. Well I use to be like you when we first started this tour but after being on the road for over a year you get very skillful in packing minimally.

Going From Bad To Worse ll Open
Clio closed her eyes tightly and hoped that if things were going to go from bad to worse that the worst would be over quickly. While Clio had been cat called in the past by drunken patrons never in her 29 years of life had a patron gone as far as to assault and harassed her in the way she was currently being felt up by.
Please Lord, let this vile man get the punishment he deserved and let this hell be over quickly Clio prayed silently as tears fell from face.
God answered her cry for help as suddenly the man was flung off of her as a security guard had heard her screams and was currently beating the drunken man into a pulp. Clio sunk into the bottom of the tent, her hands acting as curtains and stopping the view of what brawl was happening now.
“listen here, you pathetic wretch, I’m going to cuff you, and you struggle or run I’ll be forced to use violence to detain you.” The male voice said to the drunkard.
Clio peaked between her fingers and watched as the security guard nearly hit the other with a club. Next the man crouched down to Clio, his voice changed from cruel to a softened kind of concerned and asked her if Clio was okay.
Clio slowly put her hands down from her face and blinked at the man trying to calm herself down in between sobs. “I-” She stuttered for a moment before combing a piece of her hair behind her ears “I don’t know….” She looked back down at the gravel.
James stayed crouched, not sure if shock had settled in, or how long it would take for her to detox from adrenaline. He wanted to reach out to her, but sat immobilized unsure of how she’d react if he touched her, so instead he sat back on his heels eyeing her in concern, James was used to calming people down, days after the battlefield teaching him that the battle of recovery is sometimes harder than the war. “Hey, hey, you’re okay, you’re fine—you’re going to be fine. I’ve got him detained and back up should be headed by to get him. Unfortunately I can’t get you out of here until after he’s gone, I don’t want to risk him escaping, but everything’s okay noow, nothing’s going to happen under my watch.” James continued, not quite whispering, not quite muttering, it was a strange sound. Like soothing a skittish horse, he tried to calm her, afraid she might bolt.
James words were the calm in the middle of this chaotic storm that Clio had become apart of. His words, while sweet in calming her fears also brought her down from the rush of adrenaline that her body was running on currently.
Clio’s brown eyes finally meet James and kindness just flooded out of them. “Thank you sir…..” She whispered her sobbing finally stopping for the time being as she slowly got up not wanting to see the man who had did this to her and yet instead focused her concentration on James. “I think I have a fat lip from where he hit me…” She said out of the blue.
Going From Bad To Worse ll Open
As the house lights went up it meant the end of yet another stellar performance done by Powerline and His Muses. With the crowd chanting and cheering for an encore Powerline just couldn’t resist getting the crowd what they wanted and more importantly, what they paid so who was Powerline to disagree with that the fans wanted?
With the show going on for nearly a hour more it was well after 1 am when Clio and the rest of the Muses got backstage to the dressing room their shared with each other. After giving their dresses back to the backstage help Clio had changed into yoga pants and grey loose t-shirt, sitting at the vanity she fixed the rest of her hair into a messy bun. Turning off the rest of the lights Clio realized that the staff and her sisters had been long gone.
The carnival grounds had been empty as well and a cool breeze washed over Clio. However, she felt that she was being watched, rubbing her arms to warm them a little Clio’s paced quickened a little more as she also realized that her sleeping car was on the opposite side of the grounds.
That’s when she heard a voice. "Hey hottie…where you heading to?"
Clio ignored the voice, being the business of entertainment she was use to the cat calls. However the voice continued getting angrier. "Hey sweet cheeks I was talking to you! When I call you, you get your ass to listen! You hear me?"

The aftermath of the Carnival was never one of Tramp’s favourite parts of his job; he had to wander about, check if anyone was breaking any last minute rules. Oh, the irony — making a rule hater a rule enforcer. He would always internally snicker at that.
As a scream ricocheted through the air, Tramp halted in his steps, his head whipping towards the source of the sound. At first, he perked up, assuming that he was finally going to get some sort of action.
This —? Wasn’t e x a c t l y what he meant;
the sight before him was one that got him thrown into jail last time — arrested for trying to defend a woman being sexually harassed. Still, he wasn’t backing down. Knowing that stealth was his strongest point, and certainly not brute strength, Tramp silently treaded towards the man; his eyes narrowed with calculation. He firmly kicked the back of the man’s knees, knocking his legs out from under him before swiftly handcuffing the man’s wrists. With a kick to the man’s back, Tramp snorted in disdain as the man fell to the grass; face first. ”Come on, pal. That’s just not the way to appeal to a lady, now, is it?” He narrowed his eyes at the man. Tramp really wasn’t one to get angry. But this genuinely made him sick.
Directing his attention back to Cleo, his eyes softened in concern as he saw the state she was in; ripped clothes and all. “You poor thing. Here.” Offering a small smile, Tramp handed her his coat. “Did he hurt you?”
Praying to God that this hell would be over quickly were broken by the feeling of space, Clio immediately shut her eyes and sunk into the gravel as her sobs continued.
She heard a kind voice, Tramp's voice and she opened her eyes, she quickly took his hand and wrapped herself up in his coat. Clio sighed, trying to calm herself down from the chaos that had just ensured. "I..." She stuttered "I don't think so.. other than the fat lip." She spoke softly her eyes down at the ground to avoid eye contact with anyone.
