Writing your way to maddness
At times writing can be hard. This sends you to do other thing, like statgazing or frog-looking. Best thing to do is write somthing else but never stop writing.

Writing your way to maddness
At times writing can be hard. This sends you to do other thing, like statgazing or frog-looking. Best thing to do is write somthing else but never stop writing.
Just do it
Stop reading about productivity and go be productive. Grow by doing.
Quick tip
Make sure you always get a book with you. Being productive means using your time in the best way possible, reading is a great way and is better then just standing around and waiting.
Making the kitchen accessible
The next thing my wife aim to is making the kitchen accessible. God knows how many utensils and dishes and kitchen tools and pots and pans we have in the cupboards for no reason. We began by going over everything and taking out every old plate, any burned pot and every cracked glass. We left them out for other people to take. It's amazing how many things are being tossed to the garbage when somebody could benefit from it. After clearing these outs we started making the tools we need more accessible, now that we have more rooms it's easier then it was, I also found that iI have now so much empty space and I love it. Try it out, you wont regret it.
Winning your kitchen back
We have roaches in my house. I hate them. Problem is, this is an old house and they live in the walls and infest the building. The bigger problem was that the kitchen had everything they needed to grow in numbers. So, with the help of a great book my wife and I began reading (One Year to an Organized Life By Regeena Leeds) we took over the kitchen and made it our own. Three things we set for ourselves:
1. Never leave dishes in the sink
2. Take the trash out everyday
3. Start emptying the closets from items you don't need. Who doesn’t let dishes pile up? and we don't leave clean dishes in the sink do we? food, sugars etc. is great for baby roaches. So now we are winning our kitchen back, but it's just the beginning.
My war on my house
One of the reasons I opened this tumblr was to write about the ideas and systems I'm running to boost my productivity. At the moment I'm waging a war on two fronts: writing and house cleaning. The writing war is an ongoing and exhausting campaign. I'm working on two books and on writing articles for blogs and papers. This is something for a later time. The house front is a more interesting one, I think, or perhaps just easier to write about. So lets start there then, especially as I am winning there :-) Tomorrow I will write about the first victory
Rebooting
The number one reason people don't get back using their productive system, once that system goes out of sync, is the increasing fear to deal with everything that piled up. everyday more things come in and the fear and anxiety increase. All you have to do to get over this is reboot. Start the system from TODAY, don't try to catch up because you wont be able to and the number one reason for not being able to is... that you just wont start in the first place if it's brings that anxiety. So reboot today.
some internet problems
hope to sort it out soon, got many great things for you all.
Some people joggle geese
Working is fun, when you do what you like. For the past 4 years I have been doing many, many things, most I liked. The one thing I aimed for was making money from writing, be it book, writing for some paper or website or, writing something special. The first two paths came at last two years ago and a year after that and now, after a long wait I finally made my dream come true. Now I can dream a new dream and make that into a reality. This one is the second book I'm working on. NEVER stop dreaming, it's when you keep them alive that they become your reality.
A new Dawn
Good morning everyone?
Hope you enjoyed the last weekend, I know I did. For the first time in... well, years I laid my computer down for a whole weekend and gave my full attention to my wife and daughter.
It's not that I don't give them mu attention most of the time, but normally my laptop would be open next to me and I would dive into it for sometime and then resurface when I felt I'm needed.
That stopped, with the coming evening of friday I closed the beautiful macbook pro and gave it a rest.
Cleaning House: Lesson 5
This will be the last post on cleaning your house, for now, and I want to focus on kids. I have a one year old girl and unlike what most people will tell you, girls are NOT cleaner or calmer from boys. Well, perhaps they are and if so god bless your souls all of you who have them. We have a small house and at the moment we can't allow her to play in her room by her self. This is why the living room became a playground with a tent, a swing and many small toys that lay around creating an unbelievable amount of clutter. For me, this is almost a punishment but I can't be mad when I look at her playing. However. when she goes to sleep I immediately get everything in it's place and in seconds the house looks clean again. Remember that children are here because we brought them here and they do what kids do. Don't be upset with them, let them roam free and do as much as a mess as they want to. Once you have a system and you work it out, getting their mess in order is easy, so relax and enjoy them.
It's the end of the week again
This time a recommendation - a post that I just read.
It is about the gtd system and why it is NOT the problem when it fails.
Enjoy the weekend.
Cleaning House: Lesson 4
Make a place for everything. This is one of the major tips I can give you. At times, when we look around our house, we find that it's messy. Nothing big is blocking the way, it's not that the floor is dirty, but because of all the little things that are lying around, the place is just messy.
Make a permanent place for things: - The keys can be hang on a nail or put in a small drawer.
- Letters can be put in inbox trays that are labeled by name, one for each person in the house. If each one is responsible for a specific topic (paying bills, taking care of medical examinations for the kids etc.) put the letter in that person inbox.
- Coats should be hang on a hanger or in the closet.
- Small change should be saved in a specific place - drawer, box, whatever.
Put things in their place and the house will look better.
We will be right back
Computer HD died on me.
We will be getting back tomorrow
Cleaning House: Lesson 3
Now that we have those 3 piles (need, not sure you need and think you need) lets go through them. The last pile - Think you need (but didn't miss or thought of for the past 5 years, or even a year) you can through away. You didn't even remember they were there so just put them in the bag and take them out. The second pile - Not sure you need - goes through some sifting. ask yourself if you really need that item. if so, put it in the need pile. if not you know what to do with it. Don't waste your time with things, be honest and clear things out. The first pile - Need but forgot you have - this pile is annoying. You will find items you purchased again (and again) because you knew you had but didn't know where they are. FInd a place for each item. Buy boxes or some compartment utility box and label it. after everything is in it's place you will find that you save money and time.
Open the lines of communication
Here in Israel a new week is coming, while in other countries its resting time as sunday approaches. Either way, this tumblr is all about one topic - productivity, so here is a quick tip for you people. One of the worst thing you can do, is begin changing yourselves and expect your immediate environment to accept it without understanding what are you on about. Take the time to tell the people close to you why are you trying to change your life style and get them on board. Even if they don't want to make the change, they will at the very least understand you.
Friday tip: slow down
Friday is here, again, what's up with that? Anyways, today you are going to slow down. Just relax, take your time. Eat slow, enjoy the looks and aroma of your dishes. Read slow, enjoy a good book. Walk slow, look around you and absorb your surroundings. Enjoy life, this is why you are trying to be more productive.
