Ava licked her lips a little as she clutched her bag in one hand. She wasn't really sure what she was expecting, but she wasn't expecting this. Things felt different. She flared her nostrils and inhaled deeply.
"Well," she whispered softly. "Here goes nothing."
She chewed on her lower lip and began to head to her assigned room, while she looked down at her new phone. She was busy scrolling, when she bumped into someone. An involuntary growl rumbled through her, before she looked up.
"Sorry," she said, if a bit huskily.
Jace hadn't done a social call in it what felt like...ages, really. It was mostly his own fault. He had been picking up shifts like a madman. Add that to his trip home for a couple of weeks and voilà, you got one alienated, crazy ass wolf on your hands. Quite frankly, he didn't have the slightest clue on how much he had missed, but that was about to change soon.
He was out to meet Ciaran. The two had spoken about dinner and a night of pool, which stood as the perfect excuse to see how most of his friends were doing. But on his way there, Shaw had picked up on a familiar scent. Not just any. And felt obligated to change the plans slightly. As he turned the corner, Jace did barely have time to stop before his maker walked right into him, his lips parting with a soft huff. Surprise. "N-no...don't be." he frowned at the growl. "Hi, Ava."
