I had a fitness tag or something but anyway I am happy with my shoulders they've never been this defined I know that's sad and sad etc but oh well. I will be working harder this year on fitness so anyway next time you see me I'll be jerma venom tattoo levels of ripped just you wait
Tips to not be hungry while in a calorie deficit for weight loss:
eat a lot of low calorie/high volume foods like fruits & vegetables ♥ make a big ass salad ♥ enjoy a stir fry ♥ add cauliflower & broccoli to your morning eggs
ensure you're getting an adequate amount of water ♥ when we're dehydrated it can feel like hunger ♥ how many ounces of water? bw in lbs divided in half (minimum)
ensure you're getting an adequate amount of protein ♥ protein is the most filling macro ♥ how many grams? bw x 0.7 minimum ♥ base your meals around a protein source ♥ calories divided by protein = protein score, the lower the score the higher the protein. use this to compare items while shopping
If you're starving while in a deficit, you're doing it wrong.
The whole point is to eat as much as possible while still being in a deficit to lose weight.
If you follow all of the above and are still starving on your deficit then your deficit may be too severe. Aim to eat 500 calories less than you burn, which is a 500 calorie deficit.
If you follow all of the above and are STILL starving with your deficit then I recommend Reverse Dieting which is where you slowly increase your calorie intake until you're at maintenance which is the amount you burn in a day and let your body relax for a few weeks without the stress of a calorie deficit because a deficit does put stress on the body.

MONDAY JANUARY 31ST 2022: the gym is back open!
It's been four weeks since my last gym session. In that time I've done 6 at home workouts which I know doesn't sound like enough but when the gyms originally shut down I think I maybe did 2 at home workouts in the first year of lockdown. This time I tried extra hard to stick to them because they were made for me by a coach in a free 90 day program I won in a draw.
Today I stuck to the basic compound moves that I love (squats, pull ups, bench, & deads) in a pyramid format where I start with super low weight and increase it with every set to see where I'm at. I know I can go heavier for squats and deads because I hit all 12s for all my sets!🥳
Great workout but my sinuses are killing me.
Dressed in blue this morning for some HIIT and cardio. 💙
Morning Yoga Streak Day 53
An easy 30 minute low impact ride and full body stretch was the perfect Sunday workout 😌 I’m feeling less stiff and very refreshed 🙌🏻
Reminder for self: if you eat like garbage, your workout is gonna feel like garbage. Ugh. Little run with the hound followed by mandatory post run cuddles!

Grueling but great full body session today
I'm getting my life back on track and my mental health under control. I've missed the gym a lot the last year due to mental illness but I realised my mental health is very much tied to my physical health. When I'm regularly hitting the gym, I'm more confident in myself, able to handle stress, anxiety, depression. It's a cornerstone to my mental health.
These videos were taken between November 20th and December 15th. I started going to the gym and weight lifting in November, and have since gotten more serious about strongman. I haven't recorded my deadlifts in a while, as I had to take a break from them due to an injury and now I'm having to quarantine due to covid. I look forward to recording my deadlifts again and see how far I grown since these early videos.
Remember it gets easier ever day. The hard part is doing it everyday. We all start at the bottom, but with training and the right mindset we can slowly claw ourselves to the top. Progress is made in inches. Trust in the training, and trust in yourself.

I think tomorrow might be a legitimate rest day. Maybe I'll walk to get my steps in, maybe I won't. 🤷🏼
I woke up really sore this morning, and I went to the gym again today (just did yoga and some mindless cardio to get steps in). So I'm feeling pretty tired. 😅
So I might just come home after work and take a nap. We'll see. 😂
On another note, my food intake has been pretty good this week! I think I'm figuring out what works for my schedule. So yay!

Someone drop a shoulder routine that doesn’t make me want to fucking DIE??? Why is shoulder day so hard??? This is a whole different kind of pain you guys. If anyone has suggestions on how to build that mind/muscle connection for shoulders let me know.
