We’ve had a few of these sitting in our inbox as of late. We deeply apologize for being irresponsible in making you all aware of this, but certain circumstances have made it difficult for us to continue. We’ll let you know if anything comes of this anytime soon! Perhaps we can make it up with some bonus videos or something, but I’m not sure we’ll be able to continue with a full series.

Thanks for supporting us, I can personally say it was FANTASTIC to even have this chance at portraying one of my personal favourite characters of all time, I hope we made the best of what we could do.

Once Upon A Time...

There were four sisters, a mother, and somewhere in there there was a father too. Although in many stories I may someday tell, the father won’t stand out, he is anything but irrelevant in this one.

Sometimes I feel like we grew up in a sort of bubble, our family being big enough that we didn’t really have to reach out all that much. We did things differently than a lot of other people, some would say old fashioned.

But, back to once upon a time: a long long time ago, in those dark years that were the early 2000s, we were bored children and my father was a Dickens fan. I had run out of steam on my skits (and my sisters were getting awfully tired of them) and so something new and exciting was born. That something was the Pickwick Club.

If you aren’t familiar with the Pickwick Papers, the novel by Charles Dickens details the adventures of the Pickwick Club. The real stories are slightly irrelevant; what we did instead was start a newspaper. And we told stories. Reviewed picture books, rated our personal levels of goodness, and so on, but mainly, it was a mode of communication. Who cared if we were living in the same house? A week or two ago we established that we were going to bring it back, in a new way, especially now that we may not always even be in that same house.

And so here we are. (Or we will be soon.)

PS. This is a response to Internet denizen suallenparker who asked about why I took on the manly-man mustache and Pickwick Club idea. There’s a reason for the Pickwick Club. The mustache was mainly just me being awesome, though.

Jo has started the channel, modeling it after their childhood Pickwick Club, but now she needs to entice her sisters to join. She’ll be sharing smaller tidbits and videos on her tumblr this week in the hopes of doing that. Luckily for us, we can ~see the future and we know that the sisters will be joining to each take on a day of the week—Monday Jo, Tuesday Amy, Wednesday Beth, and Thursday Laurie. The rest will soon be revealed…hang in there and, again, welcome!
