To say that it was a test, doesn't really do it justice. Pros walking off the course, ambulances carting people away, and everyone doing whatever they could to fight off dehydration with a high temp of 105 and a crazy DNF rate over 30%. I'm so proud of the whole #projectvineman crew for pushing through and making it across the finish line!!!!! Last sentimental day in the office before we fly out to #cali tomorrow morning!!!! I've been looking at this logo at my desk for almost 24 weeks now and can't believe that it's almost here!!! Mom wanted to see my 70.3 medal from Steamboat ("You DID get a medal, right?!") and next to it hangs a necklace made by my boss' 7 year old, named Emory, at vacation bible school. It says, "I believe!" As always, he's been awesomely supportive and flexible through this whole journey and I can't thank him enough for his immeasurable volume of coolness!!!!!! You rock @jackkwilliams !!!! I'm so grateful to be surrounded by so many amazing friends (some trekking across the Country!) to cheer me on, others who have offered encouraging words and prayers, the amazing team over at @all3sports who take such good care of us, especially my nutrition guru @mikeyray76 (who has me fueling with bacon!!!), my incredible Instagram family (most importantly the #baconsocksclub!!!) - love you @ginnylovestri24 @heatherdot @inpyn !! There's nothing I like more after an all-day sufferfest than curling up in my #puffycoat with a nice book in an #icebath for a little light reading. 😁 Well folks, lots of good learning lessons today and my first 1/2 ironman at elevation in the books. Happy with swim, the mega hilly and windy bike was super fun and the hike, I mean run... Let me just say LARGE hills...and I've never seen so many guys walking during a race!!!
