Projeto Aquarela: A Charity Fanzine
Brazil is currently facing a political, health and financial crisis.
With over 50.000 deaths by Corona Virus, and an irresponsible president that stubbornly refuses to take responsibility and face the problem, many are in need of help.
Due to social inequality, there are many brazillians who cannot stay at home and have to go out every day to sustain their families. Although we have a free, national wide health care program, it is often underfunded and crowded and many people cannot get proper help.
With this in mind, us from Projeto Aquarela have created a Charity Fanzine with the goal of directing donations to projects focused on helping vulnerable communities affected by COVID19. We are a team of 28 artists, with over 30 illustrations of popular pop culture characters. In order to gather money, our Fanzine is being sold by the price of a minimum 30BRL donation. This money should be directly donated to the social projects we selected, and a receipt should be sent our way to receive this Zine by email.
Due to the difference in currencies, a donation made in Euros, dollars or other often become a significant help for us. A quantity of little more than 15 euros quickly becomes 100BRL for us. From the projects we have chosen to donate to, only one accepts Paypal, and is thus avaliable for international donations.
The project in question is called Voz da comunidade, and it is acting directly into favelas of Brazil. This is their specific project for COVID 19, followed by their Paypal link.
