Arthur had been in the room to where his father’s body lay. He had prayed for his fathers soul to find rest and harmony on the other side. Unlike the world that he left behind.  He had fallen asleep in the room. After briefly realizing where he was, he stood up and realized what time it was.  Turning he started to walk out to where the stairs were to go up to the main floor of the castle to get something to eat. As he opened the doors, he saw a figure sitting Arthur had been in the room to where his father’s body lay. He had prayed for his fathers soul to find rest and harmony on the other side. Unlike the world that he left behind.  He had fallen asleep in the room. After briefly realizing where he was, he stood up and realized what time it was.  Turning he started to walk out to where the stairs were to go up to the main floor of the castle to get something to eat. As he opened the doors, he saw a figure sitting by the wall asleep, “I’m sure there are other confortbale sleeping arrangements?”he asked curiously as he wondered. He didn’t know that word had reached all the way to Rivendell. About his father. Elrond and him had a unique relationship between the two. Almost like a secondary father figure to Arthur. The time when his father was ill. He had gone on missions for allies against Mercia and the elves of Rivendell and some humans from Gondor also added in the fight and they won the battle. “Lord Elrond “He said bowing heavily then bent down on one knee as he showed respect to the other.

“How many miles/kilometers are we running?!”Arthur had started towards the bend. Why did he stay in Rivendell. Because. Because Elrond had become somewhat of a father figure to him. And if he was going to train him a bit. He would accept it.

Elrond smiled wryly over his shoulder at th young man, “To the top of the ridge. We’ll stop there, you can catch your breath.” He kept his pace steady, “Wearing out already? I’ve been running this with my children for hundreds of years.”

“Yes” He said as Merlin was even further behind. When they reached the top of the ridge. He looked downward as Merlin caught up with them about ten or so minutes later “Elrond. Thank you for opening your house and taking me in for a while till. “He stopped as Merlin looked at him as if it was an uncomfortable topic. Indeed it was. But they would get Camelot back from Morgana eventually. But at least they were to safely stay in the house of Elrond and was informally adopted by the man. Basically.

A new start

“In other words. Yes. And i don’t really know. Uther chained him to gain control of Camelot and everything kinda spiral from there. I don’t really know. I just was chosen to be his protector. And shows how good I was. Look. Can we talk more in the morning. I’m really tired. I just did a 14 hour day at work. And yea. You can use Arthur’s room. I don’t. Care. But. No funny business ok”he said as he got up and went to his room and basically fell on the bed passing out. He was exhausted.

Arthur smiles as he looked at her. “Alright then “he nodded and then walked with her to the bedroom as he got undressed and he usually slept in a night shirt during winter in Camelot. But here. They had electricity. He just put on bedtime pants. “I hope you don’t mind”he mentioned to him shirtless.
