TIME FRAME → Saturday after the glee assignment was assigned, Late afternoon.
LOCATION → Lopez household
Jesse waited for her to start and when her back was facing him he did not expect her to be so close to him. He closed his eyes for a moment and he knew he had to think about something else. Anything else. Something other than the fact Santana’s ass was pressed up against him. Finally when she turned to face him he was able to catch his breath even for just one moment. She started to take the lead and Jesse was impressed by her dance skills. He also could tell she liked being in control as she was leading.
She pushed him and he stumbled slightly and he smirked. He liked it. He wanted to keep it in the number it made it seem more real and raw. He let her take the lead once more as she started to get shorter with her words like in the movie. When she practically screamed the word mad Jesse got chills up and down his spine. Then she started to sing. Her voice was perfect. There was no way Rachel could pull something like this off. Not many women could sing this song in such a manner that was both rough yet feminine. Jesse remained impressed. Her words trailed off the the music got a bit slower but still dramatic and it was Jesse’s turn to sing.
He gently spun Santana around to have her back to him again and she was pressed up against his body once more. “His eyes upon your face, his hand upon your hand.” Jesse gently took her hand in his and rested it on the side of his face before going on, “His lips against your skin.” As he sang his next line Jesse barely moved his lips against her jaw line before pulling away and spinning her out, “It’s more than I can stand!” Jesse started to move around the deck again swiftly with Santana taking the lead his expressions soft but filled with heartache and pain, “Why does my heart cry? Feelings I can’t fight. You’re free to leave me but just don’t deceive me, and please believe me when I say I love you!”As Jesse sang the last line he pulled Santana in closer and almost hugged her to express his love for his “partner.” There was a silence that filled the air and Jesse just stared at Santana during the brief silence before continuing on. He wanted to have that tension build up like in the movie.
When the silence left it was time for them to sing their parts intertwining each other and Jesse took the lead once again as he sang along with Santana this time the moves getting more raw and real. He kept her body close to his and the moves were quick and crisp. Another silence came and Jesse didn’t know where it came from but he pulled away from the Latina and sang, “Come what may. I will love you until my dying day.” Another space of silence as the violins were the only things to be heard and Jesse half ran to Santana and grabbed her picking up her leg and resting it on his side before pulling out and indicating she could take the lead now as they continued to sing together.
Jesse's smooth voice was the perfect contrast to Santana's rough one and it almost caught her by surprise as he began to sing. His hands ran along her skin, leaving a trail of goosebumps in their wake. The contrast to the two messages of the song were evident in their movements. Jesse was singing words of love and longing. His actions were soft, caressing, gentle. Whereas Santana sang about rage and jealousy. Her actions were fraught with pushing, pulling and frustration. She relinquished control, and allowed Jesse to spin her around, his breath hot in her ear. As his lips dragged along her jaw, she let out a soft groan, as she let him pull her into a hug, wrapping her arms around his waist, her fingertips brushing his ass.
“Come what may. I will love you until my dying day.” Jesse sang, and the air grew silent, with only violins playing to distract her. Standing on the other side of the decking, Santana stood with one leg crossed in front of the other. She needed a minute to relax herself, and she squirmed with arousal, as she thought of how close their bodies had been. The thought of Finn Hudson, dancing with her, sweaty and half naked soon sorted that issue out, as the music rose up once again. Crossing the deck swiftly, Santana sucked in a breath of air, as Jesse pulled her leg up against his waist. She kicked it out and pirouetted quickly, still holding his hand, and took the lead again, as both of their voices became intertwined. It was quick, fast, raw and it was making Santana light headed as she spun, ground and danced her heart out. The only word she had left to sing, was 'Roxanne', so it made her life easier, as she became breathless, the more that they pressed together and danced, pushing and pulling one another with everything they had in them. “Roxanne!” She sang out, as the music came to an end, quickly and sharply. The finished with Santana dipped, her leg wrapped around Jesse's waist, her hair splayed out behind her. They would potentially need something more dramatic for the finish.
Santana wasn't sure how much time had passed since the song had ended. It felt like forever, as her chest rose and fell heavily, letting out deep breaths. She stared at Jesse, their bodies still intertwined, arms still wrapped around one another. She could feel his breath on her skin, feel the warmth of his body. It was taking all of the self control that she had, not to pull his clothes off and mount him right there and then.
“Well, nice to see both of you getting along so well.” Maribel Lopez's voice could have cut the tension with a knife, and Santana jumped, releasing her grip on Jesse's shoulders, clearing her throat as she did. Her mother was standing in the doorway, holding a tray with jug of home-made lemonade and some fruit. Maribel had an eyebrow raised, but her lip had a slight upward curl, her daughter never could take a joke. “We were practising for glee, Mami. I told you about the competition. ¡Hostia!” Her chest was still heaving in and out, and her skin was burning red. She felt like a guilty child, who was caught with her hands in the cookie jar. “You know i'm joking Santana, don't be so serious. You guys were great, I watched you from the sun room.” Maribel gestured at the room behind her, before she picked up the jug and poured a glass for the two of them. Santana picked them both up and offered one to Jesse, before taking a long gulp from her own. Her mother smiled at them both and retreated back inside the house, leaving the two teenagers on their own. “So, is that enough to crush the rest of the losers?” She asked, as she turned back around to face Jesse.
