Here are a few notes to read before submitting an ask:

1. All pronouns are welcome, including neopronouns! Just be sure to add the whole set or I may mess them up. Please specify if you want your pronouns used in separate paragraphs!

2. Feel free to add some of your interests in your ask so you can personalize my response to you! Or, if you’d prefer, here is my default pronoun check:

3. I don’t really have a DNI list but I do not tolerate disrespectfulness of ANY form. This blog is accepting and a safe space for everyone. Please just be respectful to others!

4. This blog is for everyone. No NSFW will be tolerated.

5. Pronoun checks will be tagged under #pronoun check, anything else will be tagged under #not a pronoun check. Genderfluid Journal will be tagged under #genderfluidjournal.

The 2023 Gender Census is now open!

The 10th annual international gender census, collecting information about the language we use to refer to ourselves and each other, is now open until 9th May 2023.

It’s short and easy, about 5 minutes probably.

After the survey is closed I’ll process the results and publish a spreadsheet of the data and a report summarising the main findings. Then anyone can use them for academic or business purposes, self-advocacy, tracking the popularity of language over time, and just feeling like we’re part of a huge and diverse community.

If you think you might have friends and followers who’d be interested, please do reblog this blog post, and share the survey URL by email or at AFK social groups or on other social networks. Every share is extremely helpful - it’s what helped us get 40,000 responses last year.

I really appreciate AJ and his blog, he has been very helpful to me in my gender journey. Her icon makes me wonder if she is a fan of Pokémon. I wonder what other interests it has. I hope they know how much they have helped me and other trans people and I hope this pronoun check helps them. Gender and pronouns can be a tricky thing to figure out and I wish him the best of luck. I hope that ze has had a good Pride month and that ze has been taking care of zirself. I would also like to take this opportunity to remind him to stay hydrated!!
