A Big Step for a Baby
The day has arrived-- the baby was born. And although my opinion may be biased, the child is beautiful. Just a baby, yet already capable of expressing itself on so many levels.
It’s healthy. And not healthy in the sense of being well nourished, an average size, or being birthed on its exact due date, but rather in a way that promises forever, or at least a long life.
It is distinguishable amongst the rest of its kind, and proudly so. The color of its skin is rare and finding one who shares similar colors would be considered challenging, if not impossible.
The infant doesn’t seclude itself to a single style. It wraps itself in an assortment of fabric barely surviving the trap of “mismatch”.
When it speaks, its words remain simple. It avoids confusion by being true to itself, yet cultivates curiosity by leaving out paragraphs of its story. It relies on others to fill in the missing; to become a part of the script, taking the place of the absent.
