One of the prettiest girls I’ve ever known drank herself to death at 27 this week. One of the first things I ever said to her 13 years ago was she looked like the sexy fish in shark tails, and did. She wasn’t just pretty, she was smart and funny and a complete goober. Pretty never stopped how haunted she has always been. In fact she didn’t even know she was pretty, or funny, or smart. My mom used to always say some people are too sensitive for this world and I’ve always thought of her when she says it. Being unsurprised by a young persons death is not a feeling I ever wanna feel again. I’ll miss you gorgeous goober.
