Early Mornings...

Mornings had not always been his strong point, but early mornings on the weekends were even less so.. and this week, Friday counted as part of the weekend. He had needed to meet bright and early with his brother, which was no problem at all, of course! But he did not really like being up so early! And he’d only managed to pick at his breakfast… he was hungry! Sure! But it was difficult to heat when you were half nodding off over your toast! Still… it had been good to see Tokiya! It was nice to know he was doing well and that everything was okay! But now… now he really needed another cup of coffee! And very soon! Else he was going to fall asleep on his feet somewhere along the lines!

Satsuki wasn't one for liking early mornings, but it was more that he didn't like his routine to be suddenly shifted around into areas that he couldn't predict; He needed certain variables to read a situation, violence only got him so far if there was a degree of luck involved. He'd been told but Tokiya to be up earlier than usual today and had agreed, arriving as he was needed to mill around nearby while Tokiya met with Hayato.

You know, the overly perky, sort of annoying twin that Satsuki still found a little unnerving; His boss didn't smile, it was weird seeing his face happy even if on another person.

Tokiya had left and Satsuki had been told to look out for his brother, causing the blond to huff and go over to where the blunette seemed to be falling asleep. "Are you serious?" He asked with a frown and a disbelieving look. "Go sit the hell down, I'll get you a coffee." He wasn't going to willingly let someone act like a dead body if they got into trouble; There were a lot of variables to consider if Roseus targetted Tokiya and he after all.

"Excuse me! Mind your manners." Hayato’s tone was mildly chiding and he lifted a hand up to quite soundly flick the taller man in the arm. 

"It’s not even slightly polite to refer to the kids as brats! So I have to ask you to please refrain from that. You will teach them bad manners." He looked up at the blonde, having to tilt his chin quite a way up to actually do so, his expression challenging again. He was not easily intimidated, really. Especially not when he had the kids around him. He was responsible for them after all.  "However. I do approve of you offering to play on the shooting range with them! I am sure they will like that a lot! Right kids? Who wants Uncle Satsuki to win them a toy, huh?" He smiled as the kids actually reacted to that, lifting their hands, a couple of them calling out ‘Me! Me!’ or something to the like. Ah. That was nice! They were having fun! Wonderful!  His dark blue eyes flicked up to the blondes face again then, a confident smile on his lips.  "Well then, you made your offer, they have accepted it. I t is time to show us how well you shoot. Let’s hope you’re not a let down now~!" His tone was bubbly as he took a hold of a couple of the kids hands, the others crowding in close to him as well.  "Lead  the way, mister marksman~ We are waiting to be impressed!"

Did he just...? He did and Satsuki wasn't looking too impressed.

"I'll refer to them as I like." He grumbled, tone annoyed as green eyes narrowed down on Hayato and a hand raised to press onto his head so he could roughly ruffle his hair. "Idiot." He muttered, still a little creeped out that his boss had the same face as this guy who barely stopped smiling; He found it was hard to ignore the reflex of obeying that face too.

His loyal dog syndrome was annoying.

Did this guy seriously not care because his brother was mafia or something? He wasn't used to someone of no rank or family facing off against him like this, especially since he really was like a wild dog when it came to carrying out orders; He killed, he hurt, he stole, he tortured just like he was told to do. Now here he was at a shooting range, kneeling down as he helped one of the kids line up the toy gun so he could knock a prize down.

Uncle Satsuki, huh? Kids were brats but this was kind of nice.

There was a bit of a struggle with a little girl who kept shooting too far to the left, so he simply stood up and shot it down for her in one go and accepted the fluffy pink rabbit toy for her, passing it down to the excitable child. She thanked him and ran over to Hayato to show him, leaving another child to ask Satsuki to get him one too.

And another, and another; Weren't they supposed to be doing this for themselves?!

Initially the sight of the tall, serious looking blonde had caused Hayato a moment of real alarm. There was not meant to be any trouble here. They were meant to be safe… the suit he was flagged him as, most likely a member of one of the two feuding families… and his own family had more ties to the Caeruleus that he really wished to admit… had something come of that…? His warm smile had settled into a frown and without any hesitation at all he had stepped forwards, placing himself at once in front of the kids be was looking after. If this grouchy looking giant wanted to cause trouble then he could cause it with him… 

The fact that he seemed to know his name however pulled him up short and his frown shifted into an expression of confusion for a moment instead… just as his phone buzzed, announcing a message arriving. ::Has Satsuki gotten there yet? Tall. Blonde. Hard to miss. If he says anything rude tell him he will hear from me. T. :: Well. That sort of explained a few things at least… his dark blue eyes flicked up to the tall blonde. Well then! As long as he was on their side it couldn’t be too bad, right? With a face that surly who was actually likely to mess with them? He looked down at the kids with a warm smile once again.  "There we go! What did I tell you? This is TokiToki’s friend! He is here to keep us all company today! Isn’t that great?" There was a babble of agreement from the six kids that were trying to hug onto his legs. He held a hand out to Satsuki.  "Mmhm! Hayato Ichinose~! It’s great to meet you uhh.. Satsuki, yeah? That’s what Toki told me anyway!" His sunny smile stayed fixed on the blonde. No matter how grouchy he looked he was determined to make sure the kids felt happy, relaxed and had a lot of fun!

The looks the kids were given him made his nose wrinkle in distaste, his lip half pulling back in almost a sneer; he didn't like dealing with kids, he dealt with the adults and even then he didn't do well with the social aspect of adult to adult relations; there wasn't much to talk about when you were putting a bullet through some son of a bitch's skull. This was a person who he couldn't harm, a person with the same devil face as his boss who he had to protect -- he looked away, still a little ill at ease over the sunny smile that lit up the face he was so used to seeing impassive or annoyed. "Mm." An affirmative noise, a hand slipping to his hip to brush his fingers against the handle of the gun that was set snugly in it's holster, hidden from view under his jacket. Tokiya had told him to leave it, that this was truce land, but he wasn't stupid enough to come to a potential gunfight without a gun. His gaze went over to Hayato, emerald orbs narrowing slightly in a look that spoke volumes. 'This isn't my scene' or 'can we just move this fucking sucks'. "Let's just move and show the brats a good time. I'll teach them how to storm the shooting ranges or something." Like hell would he do a dumb piddly game like ring toss or goldfish scoop. Before moving however he slipped his phone out of his pocket and swiped his thumb across the screen to unlock it, sending his boss a text to tell him that the job had started.

I'm here. There are kids. I expect a fucking raise.

Carnival :: Closed rp Hayato & Satsuki

With a happy laugh Hayato flicked his eyes around the dazzling sight that was the carnival that had come to town! Oh! Oh it was just amazing! So full of colour and light! The perfect way to take peoples minds off of their troubles for a few days. Dark blue jeans hugged his legs, and a medium purple shirt, half covered by a black jacket topped it. Finished off with some comfortable black and white sneakers and a black and white chequered scarf. It was possibly a loud outfit to some degree, but he was a fairly loud personality and he was fairly certain he could carry it off. He glanced down, around his legs clustered a small group of children, six of them, holding hands in pairs and staying close to him as they had been instructed to. He and Otoya had opted to bring the older children out to have a little fun! Twelve was a little too many to keep in one group, however, so they had decided to split them up into two groups… only now he found himself waiting. Tokiya, his brother had promised to lend a hand… twelve children were quite a handful after all, and he had told them he would bring someone with him to help keep everyone safe. His brother, however, was late. Or distracted… which wouldn’t really surprise him honestly. Especially if he had run into Otoya already. He rolled his eyes slightly, dropping to a crouch to wrap his arms around one of the kids, a small girl who had started whining a little, unhappy about having to stand around and wait.  "Don’t worry Suki~!" He stated brightly. "I am sure our new friend will be here soon! Really soon! Then we can have a proper look around, huh?" A bright smile followed and he bopped a finger against the girls nose.  "And I’m sure we’ll be able to get you some candyfloss as well, that’ll make it all better, right?" He smiled warmly again then, standing back up and ruffling her gingery blonde hair. She was a sweet child, perhaps not as resilient as some of the others. He looked around him again before dropping his hand down to tug his phone out of his pocket. No message. Mm. He would wait about five, maybe ten minutes longer before he called his brother to try and find out what was going on.  "It’s okay! If they’re not here soon we can write Toki-Toki some angry letters, okay?" He laughed again then, the happy expression was honestly a semi-constant presence on his face. He tended to be in high spirits, luckily with the energy to back it up as well.

He was used to tougher jobs than this one, but then with a carnival in town what was he to expect? The blonde had been told that he'd be helping the orphanage out with looking after some children and their minder, who just so happened to be the twin brother of his direct superior. He'd been warned under that under no circumstances were the children or his brother to be harmed and that he was being depended on to keep them group safe.

Of course, this was mostly so Tokiya could spend time with Otoya in a neutral setting.

He'd sort of chewed the bit when it came to being there on time, discarding the cigarette he'd been mulling over and stubbing it out with a polished boot as he walked past the brightly decorated stalls fraught with excitable people and tinny music. Green eyes landed on the person he was looking for and he huffed a sigh, hands stuffed into his pockets and a disgruntled look pressed across his face as he wandered over to the group and came to a stop beside them; Most likely, he probably looked like he was there to start some form of trouble with them what with being dressed in a suit with a blue tie wrapped loosely around his throat, his white shirt top buttons undone under the wasitcoat he wore.

"Oi." Green eyes stared down at the spitting image of his boss, though the smile looked out of place and Satsuki wondered how such a face was capable of a sunny smile; Tokiya barely cracked a wince most days. "You're Hayato, right? Let's go." Better to get this over with. He wasn't overly good with children.
