Sorta Like a Mana...||gwalxhmei
A soft look of understanding lined Gawain’s features as he listened carefully to his Master’s desire. It was a wish that had the benefit of the people and creatures called Mana in mind. And to Gawain, it was a beautiful wish that he would fight for without regretting any consequence that may happen. “I have no doubt that your wish will indeed be granted by the Holy Grail, Master. And even less of my apprehension in serving you without question.”
“If you put your all into fighting for what you want, I’m certain that you will definitely be rewarded in the end for your efforts.” He continues to beam at her, assuring her that her wish was one worth fighting in a war for. While the situation of her people did sound like something that can definitely be alleviated by work coming from both parties; Gawain didn’t voice his thoughts on the matter and decided that the situation must be worsening, even if she was able to somewhat brighten the situation, or had possibilities of a nose dive into unmentionable territories.
“My wish—” He starts. Advocating the same morals of equality that Ulrika mentioned not too long ago. “Is to redeem myself as a Knight and as a Person in serving another Lord in this war. It’s a fault that was related to the legends and romances that I come from.”
“Forgive me if it sounds as if I’m only using you as a means to grant my own selfish desires, but that is a reason why we heeded the Holy Grail’s call.”
The fact that his nor King Arthur’s name and fame was unknown to his Master surprised Gawain yet again. A bemused chuckle followed the thought of it. Having sworn fealty to her would have no doubt have its surprises as well as its merits. “If you wish to know of my legend—as I wish to know of yours do you perhaps wish to sit on the lounge instead of standing idly? I’ll prepare us some tea and snacks.”
He motions towards the bare lounge that their house came with— save for some chairs and a coffee table.
She gave him a sigh of relief and a small smile when it appeared that he thought her wish was a good one. Most of the time she had been selfish and only looking to better things for herself, but her experiences at Al-Revis had taught her that by doing things for others, maybe everyone could be happy in the end.
"I hope so, if fighting for it will help me make things happen, then I'll do it." Maybe she wasn't very smart, or very strong, but she had determination and that's helped her so far.
"So that's yer wish..." She had managed to stay quiet long enough to listen to his words, his wish. When she heard his chuckle, for a moment she wondered if he was making fun of her for not knowing about anything he was saying, but she could cool her temper down, especially with what he was offering.
"It don't matter to me much if yer selfish or not, I think you have a pretty good wish there. I don't know what you did, but I guess that's why we're gonna sit down an' talk about it." She smiled at him, then walked over to a chair. Whatever he thought was his fault, she had the feeling that he wasn't as bad as he was making himself out to be.
