Thank you for everyone's patience. Nuzlocke on Ice: a (sort of) Leafgreen monolocke (NOICE) returns March 9th, 2026 on ComicFury.
PREAMBLE RAMBLE NOICE's first chapter was posted by its creator, AngrySkitty/ Katarinu/ my sister, on Pokemon's 20th anniversary (February 27th, 2016). It was published bi-weekly up through the end of 2019, when the comic took what was supposed to be a temporary hiatus for health reasons. It was not temporary. My sister passed away in early January 2020. In the aftermath, I announced that I would finish her comic once I finished grieving and then tried to speedrun that process. It backfired, and here I am again in 2026. HOW THIS WILL WORK Because NOICE was posted only on deviantArt (ew) and Smackjeeves (rip), and because it's been so long, NOICE's pages will be entirely reposed on ComicFury (my beloved). Uploads will occur every weekday at 8 am CST. That's over 42 work weeks of older pages, lasting until the end of 2026 (with a break on December 31st). From there, we will likely slow down the uploads (tbd, but probably down to the original two days a week, Tuesday and Friday) and finish Chapter 10 with Skitty's inks, thumbnails, and notes-- whatever is there. Then, we continue until the comic as planned is finished. I am not going to be fully drawing out the rest of Nuzlocke on Ice. Instead, I will be supplementing whatever Skitty left with my own and mutual friends' art. That way, everyone will get to see the full comic without it taking absolutely forever and taking an insurmountable mental tax on me. I love my sister, and she still loves me; she would not want me to suffer unnecessarily for her art. But, she would want her art to be complete, and that's what will happen. THE MUSHY STUFF Thank you all once again for your endless patience and support with NOICE. It's been longer than I ever wanted, but the nuzlocke community continues to be such a welcoming place-- even if it is a bit awkward being the sister of the dead popular nuzlocke creator.
