The blonde was awfully quiet, staring out at absolutely nothing in particular. The tree provided support, which Esther leaned on and swung her legs, as she was sitting on a branch too high up for most people.
The cloak was lying on the ground below, having been thrown in a fit of anxiety and uncertainty. The young girl knew where she belonged but... it was hard to even accept the fact that there were people there who needed her, that wanted a sister.
And her brother, Andru...
She couldn't forget about him no matter how hard she tried.
A sigh emitted from the young one, feet still swinging as she thought to herself, watching the clouds from the dangerous height she was at. Her parents.. her brother.. it was like nothing had changed.. like the war never happened.
And that confused Esther.
Her own heart was in turmoil. This was a home for her but... it felt like she really didn't belong here whatsoever. Like she was an outsider looking in. It had been so long since she'd had a home to return to besides the inn in Mysidia that the blonde just didn't know how to react. Or what to do, in that case.
Shutting her eyes, she shifted just slightly on the branch and leaned back a bit more, trying to think of what she was supposed to do now that there was somewhere for her to be. Somewhere for her to go when she needed a family by her side.
She'd been alone for so long that nothing really felt right to her. She liked coming and going, disappearing for days on end. But... she had no idea what she was supposed to even do!
And her brother...
Her twin...
How could she ever face him?! She was the older sister, his protector! And yet she didn't... she couldn't even save him from being kidnapped after the war!
Tears dripped down her cheeks and she opened her eyes, not a sound coming from her.
Where was she going to go from here?
