Love is love is love @pixieprincessana
I must admit that, as a lusty they/them dyke, I kind of like the sign. The sign-maker took the time to write "they" in trans colors after all.
A survey for gender-binary-defying people, on bodies and body preferences
It's a design test survey, so even if you come and answer no questions at all it's really helpful!
The 2024 Gender Census is now open!
[ Link to survey ]
The 11th annual international gender census, collecting information about the language we use to refer to ourselves and each other, is now open until 13th June 2024.
It’s short and easy, about 5 minutes probably.
After the survey is closed I’ll process the results and publish a spreadsheet of the data and a report summarising the main findings. Then anyone can use them for academic or business purposes, self-advocacy, tracking the popularity of language over time, and just feeling like we’re part of a huge and diverse community.
If you think you might have friends and followers who’d be interested, please do reblog this blog post, and share the survey URL by email or at AFK social groups or on other social networks. Every share is extremely helpful - it’s what helped us get 40,000 responses last year.
Survey URL: https://survey.gendercensus.com
The survey is open to anyone anywhere who speaks English and feels that the gender binary doesn’t fully describe their experience of themselves and their gender(s) or lack thereof.
For the curious, you can also spy on some graphs and demographic data for the incoming responses here.
Thank you so much!

Just wanted to say that honestly your blog is just amazing. Literally its just so weird sometimes like I dont know any other nb people and I feel like its just me? But then I see your content and its not just me anymore, its a load of other people as well :-) Thank you!
I'm glad it helps!
I find it kind of strange that these people want to read my slightly cleaned up diary entries, so I feel similarly. I guess we're all in this together.
I was wondering if you know how long the process of getting top surgery should take? I don't know anyone irl who has gotten it and I think my insurance ghosted me
I don't know personally. I imagine that it might vary based the individual, too. Maybe try looking into some medical sites for this info?
I'm not sure where you live, but I don't think it's legal for your health insurance to ghost you. If you changed jobs or stopped paying, then you might be in trouble.
I hope you're doing okay.
It it a thing to be bigender with the genders being a binary gender+agender?
I'm not sure, but probably. I guess it depends on if you think of agender as an absence of gender or as a neutral gender-ness.
My advice is to do what feels right. I think labels should work for the wearer, not the other way around.
Hey! Can I make a request? I love your nonbinary flag phone background designs, and I got a tablet recently and I wanted to get a pride flag background for that too, but I couldn't find any horizontal ones. Could you make some horizontal designs with the nonbinary flag if it's not too much bother?
I'll make some! It would be a nice change.
If you have specific image sizes, then I can do that as well. I'm sure there are others who would like it.
Also, sorry for being so late to respond. Checking my inbox got lost in the shuffle of life chaos.
Hey, I'm sorry about (undoubtedly) spamming your other blog with likes! I just spent the last 2 and a half hours maxing out my like limit on your posts!!! Anyway, from a fellow enby who just found your blog today, thank you for the kind words and support! I will definitely be coming back again and again! Thank you soooo much!!!!!!!!!!
I'm glad you like it!
Sorry for being so unbelievably late. Life has been as life tends to be, and I forgot to check my inbox. Better late than never.
your username shouldve been proud2bnb i think thatd be funny
Lol true. Maybe I'll rename this one if I get a burst of motivation.
I always feel like I have to be binary if I'm to be trans, i keep trying to make it work but it wont and i know that in my heart. I think that my binary trans friends just see me as a girl, what do I do? :(
You can't fully control how other people perceive or think about you, unfortunately. If your friends don't take your being nonbinary seriously, then I suggest telling them how that makes you feel. Keeping friends who don't respect you can be worse than not having any at all.
I'm not sure what you mean by "make it work." You don't have to do anything to be nonbinary. You just are!
In terms of being trans enough, there's no such thing. In the most basic sense, being trans is identifying differently in some way than what you were assigned at your birth. It sounds like you met that requirement.
Hi! I'm doing my PhD at the moment and I'm looking into the feelings of belonging and safety of transgender university students in the UK. I'm looking for participants to fill out a quick survey (5-10 minutes). I was wondering if I could send you some of the details so you can share it with your followers? (Or you can reblog my pinned post if that's easier). Thank you so much!
I reblogged it here for you!
I’m looking for trans people who attend a UK university to take part in my research into the feelings of belonging and safety of transgender university students! Please consider taking this brief anonymous questionnaire (5-10 minutes) to discuss what would improve your university experience as a trans person!
A brief survey to explore the feelings of belonging and safety of transgender students attending university in the UK
The National [USA] Center for Transgender Equality have released some results from their 2022 survey
"Of the 84,170 adult respondents, 38% identified as nonbinary, 35% identified as transgender women, 25% identified as transgender men and 2% identified as cross-dressers."
The National Center for Transgender Equality released early insights from its 2022 U.S. Transgender Survey, the largest survey of trans peop
More nonbinary people than any other group, and the sample is huge! This echoes what I've seen suggested in other survey results too, it's exciting and interesting to me.
(Also, less than 2% expressed any amount of dissatisfaction with medical transition treatments, of course!)

To be woken up by my sister at 3 in the morning, asking if I or friends were here was definitely not something I wanted.
My community at home just got attacked and I doubt we'll get justice, but I need you all to know. Our community is still at risk, still in danger, and tonight just solidified it.
As far as I know, no one in my circle was there, and thankfully I don't frequent the clubs, but my roommate *does*. I'm just glad he's got a cold and wasn't out.
